Truck did it's job. I've seen enough crashes and always impressed at how folks can walk away from some of the mangled balls of steel.

For a T-Bone that looks like a 35-40 MPH hit at best. Estimations can be sketchy. JMO.

40 or 55 ... the OP is not posting from a hospital bed (at least does not say he/she is).

If you have room and the money, buy back from insurance company and sell the parts. Engine alone could go for thousands. So many usable parts. Junk yard would make a fortune.

Legally owned and transferrable catalytic converters ...

I live in an apartment ... no way they would tolerate having junked truck slowly parted out. At a house ... I would imagine most homeowners associations cannot touch a parted junker in the driveway as long as it stay there and is moved within a couple of weeks.

Glad you're okay. The Taco died saving you. In addition to what other people pointed out, the roof is buckled above the center post. Take the money and buy a new truck.

Tacomas are the best place to be when you go toe to toe with another vehicle. Hope everything pans out for you.

Glad you are here to tell the tale.

    Welcome aboard

We are all glad of that. No injuries is a huge plus. I hope things work out in his/her favor.
