I've had a stick since I was 17 yrs. old, 1977. I occasionally step on the imaginary clutch pedal when putting the 4R in park.
Same for the time involved.....or the number of beers.

    You mean the FJ Runner?

    2UZ would be a better swap. Or a 1UR.

I sure hope not! I'd rather see a slightly smaller 4Runner than a new version of those goofy things.

The 2UZ was such a great motor! Even with over 250K miles, mine idled almost silently. And, that torque!

Nice work, just don't understand sullying a Toyota with that (or any) GM product. For the record, I am not a GM fan.

The worst is when they shove a V8 into a Supra! :der:

Edit: If I ever have extra cash laying around for a different project, I'd love to drop a 1JZ into a C4 'Vette just to piss off old Chevy guys.

Just another rendering, as far as I'm concerned. Looks better than an FJC, though.

Edit: I'd probably chuck that roof rack right in a dumpster, if I got one.

It is just another rendering lol. Still..... Been tons of internal talk for years about what to do regarding the FJ legacy here in the states.

The problem is the FJ legacy globally is tough as nails, farm and work trucks. In the states. Everybody likes their soft cushy rides but... Pick a vehicle in the states, people will buy 100,000 of them at the drop of a hat. That's some serious money.

Part of the big deal with dropping the Land Cruiser 300 and moving the Sequoia to flagship status here, there's a lot of media hype about Toyota giving up on the Land Cruiser but reality is, it was getting expensive to bring them over and the Sequoia for all intents and purposes is a Land Cruiser. Supposedly we're getting a Prado model next year, but that makes me wonder what they're going to do with the forerunner/ FJ idea... Unless they're rolling Prado 4Runner NFJ all into one vehicle similar to what is above.

If they want to do justice to the FJ legacy, they need to quit fucking around with IFS. They have SFA platforms they could adapt to the US market if they wanted to. The 80 series rode pretty nice for a solid axle. Heck, people buy the shit out of Wranglers, and those are like tin cans.

The current Prado/GX and 4Runner are already on the same chassis, so it would make sense for them to be similar again. But, I thought there was talk about the 4Runner getting a tad smaller. :notsure:

That looks heavy! I'll be picking up my boat in half an hour, the boat with trailer are probably lighter than just that trailer!

I towed a similar trailer with the Silverado. Let's just say stopping (and slowing down) was interesting. I wasn't set up for trailer brakes.

Ask the pastor if he knows the pastor at the Presbyterian church in Phillips.

    He's my brother in law.

Random question... does anybody think they might have a use for one or more of these? My kid has medication shipped in one of these on ice once a month and I always feel bad just tossing them out if someone could use them. It's 11"x9"x10"H outside, inside space is 6"x8"x7"D. Extra ice bucket at camp? Day trip cooler? Live bait bucket? Let me know and I can bring them to the next gathering.
