It was only in the SR, if you search around the forum you may find a picture or two that were posted, two were white and one was red.

Yes. Early 3rd gens offered access cab I4 4x4 w/ 5spd manual. I believe 2WD was only auto.

Fairly certain Toyota has been working on patents for utilizing manual transmissions for future EV-converted vehicles. I wouldn't say it's absolutely certain the hybrid drivetrain will be impossible to mate up to the manual transmission until something is stated officially.

Of the three SR V6 MT that l have seen, they were all Doubles, probably the rarest 3rd Gen's ever made.

Is it the truck itself or the manual? I'm not enjoying my manual. I like the truck though.

everything including the transmission. i cant for the life of me get it to shift smoothly without shifting ridiculously slow. things clunkier than the 5 speed in a 1992 3.0 pickup with 300k and its 3rd set of headgaskets. ive heard they are clunky when new. that you need a tune. that you need accumulator delete. maybe. probably. out of the box experience is definitely lacking though. im just all ears to see what this 4th gen is gona be about now. would love to see a 7 speed manual like the bronco with a dedicated crawl gear so we don't have that huge ratio gap between 1st and 2nd. and a reverse gear that cant do highway speeds.

Wonder if the clutch cancel switch is going to stick around or not...

I fell in this trap too. I wouldn't say I hate my truck, but I'm not madly in love with it either. Some stuff I knew going in and are things can be fixed with money, and some things surprised me and can also be fixed with money, and then there's some stuff that completely caught me off guard like the absurdly lumpy powerband...and there's nothing that can be done with that.

I also didn't do my homework thoroughly enough and assumed the higher spec models would have the higher payload capacity...but turns out I bought a truck with less payload than my wife's Outback (I joked about this, and then got curious and...well, it's actually true, these trucks are outperformed by unibody crossovers...).

When I got my 2016 TRD OR, I was adamant about getting a manual but they were hard to come by. I settled on an A/T. This time around, I want to order a manual. But I am leery of the pricing. Crazy that I was able to get a loaded '16 TRD OR for $32000, and I would wager the 2024 in a comparable build would be pushing $55k.
