A Misspelled Feeschin and BS thread

So I went and got tree new rods and found some med action instead of med heavy.
Felt lighter like I wanted.
But…..

Did a tip pull and the dam rod was just as stiff as my old ones.
And the 3oz heavier.
WTF. SOOOOOOO BACK THEY GO..

What’s ever feeels goodie goodie. Cheaper the better.
Whoopin Sticks ares great rods but heavy as fuck.

My ugly stick spinning rods work good. Slightly heavy.

I’m using Abu Garcia vengeance 6’6” and 7’ med heavy.
Great Rods but with age comes pain and was thinking of going to med to reduce
the snap I need to develop to load the rod to cast to ease up on my wrists.
But I want a cheaper solution. Not paying 60 bucks a rod.
So med action, 6’6” 5oz rod weight or lighter, fast tip.

 

I have 4 or 5 of these and really like them. The first two that I bought (years ago) were $19.99 and I'm still using them.

Might have to look into those.
Our store has shit so can’t look at them. Have to drive 70 miles to MAYBE get my hands on them.

 

I also have a handful of these for me and my wife. They're honestly my go-to because it was the first rod I ever bought and has always got the job done. Only nice rod ($120) I've ever had, blew up in my hands trying to boat flip a 1.5 lb bass into the boat. Figured that kind of rod wasn't for me - call it inexperience, bad luck, but I boat flipped it no different than any other time I've boat flipped one with a cheap BP rod, and this rod didn't like it one bit. I'm sure it was probably cracked or something before hand, but after that one breaking, and a tip of another getting wedged between the boat and pier when docking and breaking that same trip, I decided I'll stick to the easily replaceable and cheap ones.

 

Ordered some cheap 9' surf rods last night. Will be interested to see how wild these look/work with some freshwater 3000 size reels and 20lb braid

Morning Maryland

 

Caught some crappie over the weekend, and let my wife experience the best Golden Crispies she's ever had. Fried those bad babies up, and they were gone before we even sat down at the table to eat, even after her skepticism to try it.
