to be fair, inflation hasn't helped at all. i'm still in shock that my name is even on the paperwork for a $40k used truck.

 

Worth it

 

Entirely depends on the situation. I pull through when I can or appropriate, I like to back in if there is no way to pull through, but I'll pull if there might be an option to pull through when I leave.

Very interesting, I haven't heard this before. Last fall, an extended family member was showing my mom and me how badass his new Samsung phone was by taking an awesome pic of the full moon that night. I tried it with my new iPhone 13max and couldn't even get a good focus on the moon it was so bright. As Paul Harvey would say, now I know the rest of the story...

 

No mowing due to , even had hail for a minute.

My new clunker New Holland had about 1-1/2 tires that held air, I got rooting around the archives and found a set of lug treads I had forgotten about.

They are probably 25 years old and stiffer than... PITA to mount and seat the beads.

Looks like the axle leaks...



This wad of heavy cloth was wound around the axle shaft.



At least the grease kept the paint nice, both wheels had grease/dirt inside...
They weren't rusty at all.



Slight difference, I also reversed the wheels for a wide track look - Pontiac was big on that in the 60's.

I don't have a (good) deck for this one, maybe I will put a plow on it.



I like the look, more importantly I might be able to move it now - after I find something for the front.



It came with weights and chains, not fitting the chains with these tires.

Was able to get the bird mansion empty of bees and in to there new hive cut there comb out and put it in frames and found the queen and got every one rehoused

 

So these bees stay with "their" queen and bees in the next hive over have a queen as well? Are there conflicts between hives?

I have NEVER forgotten the phrase "E aho laula".



Probably because I worked with a Hawaiian dude for 8 years and owned a '99 Grand Prix.

 

I used to work with a cat who did bee removals and breeding and what not. I learned a lot from him. He raised queens and would sell them individually. Sometimes you can split the hives, they promote a queen from within and will continue production in that hive. Other times when you remove the queen, the workers abandon and flee.

They will stay with their queen, if they decide to make another they will supersede her , the other hives mind their own and usually don’t mess with each other, unless they are in a dearth they will try to steal some food
