Congratulation on the 2011 TRD. Curious - if you don't mind - as a male chauvinist pig - just wondering what you use the Taco for ? Thanks Curious George

Don't mind the question at all...:) right now i guess it is what some call a mall crawler.;)..just back and forth to work...love it when it snows and no roads plowed FUN! and taking it on road trips...haven't had the time (busy time of year at work.. OT on weekends) to go play..BUT easy play if anything as expensive toy to break and enjoying the newness still. Hence why kept the 85' pickup for playing purposes...

23 yr old guy. Just graduated Georgia Tech back in December and will pay for the truck in full when it gets here. Earned all the money thru internships and investing. Car payments will be one less thing to worry about.

Yeah, I don't off road but I do have to go to work B 4 they plow or maybe they just do a quickie on the main roads and leave plow humps on the off ramps - that's a lot of fun. Thanks for the reply.

    neglect, mostly.
50 hr weeks in the summertime, and everyday after school in high school, sold my first ride (that i bought myself as well), and save save save. . . and as for credit, my family business has been with my bank for 50 years so they were nice, and they used the truck as collateral. borrowed $8k at 5.5% over 3 years. though if all goes to plan i'll have it payed off in less than 2.

oh, and im a 20 yr old dude. Joseph from NC.

    Nice 6spd,V6, very solid truck
None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
I am 64 and got my first Toyota Truck in 06, I had a really nice 97 MonteCarlo Z-34, it had only 35K on it and was taken care of by a real car nut , a long time friend....GM really missed their cue on that car. At 50K the alternator gave out, it took a act of congress to get a new one in, as its a sidewinder engine and the alternator is way down low. We had to put in a OEM alternator as the garage was afraid of putting in a re-man in case it didn 't work. Things went downhill from there, a lot of noises coming from the back struts, timing belt change out( another big head ache!) plus it drove terrible in the winter. I am a very careful driver and don't ever beat on my vehicles. Finally I had enough and traded it for my Taco, I went to 5 dealers and no one would give me anything close to book value, what a shame.
But thats all behind me and my 2006 has 45K on it , a great reliable truck and when I showed it to my regular mechanic, he said "Thank God the Monte is gone!"
You know when GM or any manufacturer makes a engine and three or four years later they give up on it , something is wrong!....
    Love my Taco.....Jeff

    06, V6, 6spd, SR5,4wd, Radiant Red.
