So, I recently put a 3" bilstein (6112s) lift on my 2008 Tacoma. Unfortunately, after about 500 miles, I've already got a torn cv boot (inner passenger). What are some options for CVs with some kind of upgraded boot? All the offroad shops in the area want to sell me rcv axles to the tune of $2300. I'm not a serious offroader, and I'm not looking to spend that kind of money.

Why not just reboot your current axle? TW doesn't have a good how-to so hopefully this link will work. You'll need to source some SST's but even with purchasing those tools, it'll still be cheaper than buying a new stock CV axle. If you must buy, Napa sells a good comparable axle to stock however, I would still do the boot slide mod if you are so concerned. That's where you cut the smaller metal band and either using a new band and the appropriate crimp tool or using a ring pipe clamp then pull then stretch the boot a bit to expand the fins so they aren't rubbing.

The same shit everyone else has.
Keep the Toyota axles. Reboot it and slide the boots.

Thank you. The CVJs seem like a pretty good option that isn't $2300.

They make some that are better for high angles too.
