Has anybody used this shop? My buddy is going to need a lift installed on his Jeep JL. One of our other friends has had a ton of work done here to his Jeep and he likes them. However, reviews seem to be mixed.

    Anybody have first hand experience?

Only experience I had with them was purchasing my Smittybilt tent. No red flags, no outsanding experience, just "as expected". I cant speak to them performing any work though.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
From the issues I have had with them in the past 15 years just ordering parts. No way in hell I would ever let 4WP actually work on my vehicle. I would look elsewhere. They have a reputation as a company to pretty much suck. And in the interaction I have had with them have proved it to be valid and deserving of it. In my opinion.

Since it's on a Jeep, it should be good.
Don't know how they are with tacos but when I went there looking for stuff for my Scout, one of the sales guys just gave me the confused dog look like he didn't know what it was. :D

I've had great service from the Overland Truck Store Garage in Bremerton...lift, winch/bumper, dual batteries, remote start etc...clean fast work at a much better price than I was getting anywhere else...great guys, fun to BS with...ask for Kyle or GT and have fun...Ric

I do . I got my lift done there . Only beef I have is when I dropped my truck off I told them I wanted it to sit level when I came to pick it up. It wasnt level and I had to fix the level of lift myself . Also they didn't do a carrier bearing drop bracket .

Another shop I would recommend checking with is FS Autoworx in Monroe. I’ve known Jeremy the owner for 15ish years and worked with him for a few years when he was a tech (I was a service advisor at the same dealer). If I needed someone to work on one of my cars he is one of the few shops I would trust completely.

Khaotic has some crazy rates. $900 for a lift install seems way cheap for a shop with a decent reputation. I'll let yall know how my buddies install goes on his JL.

Not really, with a shop and the correct tools and some experience. You can do a Tacoma lift in 2 hours.

Yeah, i've been living in a BMW world for too long! I'm hoping to have them do both my JL and Tacoma once my buddy gets his done.

Agree with you here, but I'm hearing its not all that efficient for the most part. Using a shop is expensive, but its the quick and easy button...schedule the work, show up and pay. Done.

No playing texting back and forth games and waiting on quotes for days.

Facts. I got a local guy that does fantastic work. Getting him to respond to me though.....crickets. All good, I'll always use him when I can.

I live near them and had them install my rock sliders, 5100’s and a AAL on my ‘22 Limited.
I took the risk having them install everything despite the reviews I was seeing online about them and it’s been fine so far. They were pretty expensive though IMO.

With that said, I am looking for a more personable shop/mechanic in the Lynnwood/Everett area. I will certainly check out the shops recommended in this thread, but can anyone else recommend a shop closer to me?
