AT&T 3 month thing expiring

So what happens if I don’t renew the trial 2GB / 3 month trial I had?

Can I still use the app to remote start and lock my doors?

I don’t connect to the vehicles Wi-Fi (and can’t think of a reason I would want to - my phone can be a hotspot and I already pay for that). I don’t use any apps - only either FM radio or I stream music from my phone via Bluetooth with Apple Music (but that uses my phones internet).

I believe that the remote connect app trial is good for a year. I have never started using the 3 month wifi trial, and can remote start the truck, and lock/unlock doors using the toyota app.

 

The trick, by consensus, seems to be that IF you added the app to your phone to remote access the vehicle (not necessary for the funky door remote to remote start), DO NOT delete from your phone which triggers the "cancel". My remote start still works using the key fob without me paying because I do not announce it to the "connected services central".

 

Ok. I will let it expire and see that it all still works. I do remember also getting the 1 year Toyota app subscription. I plan to keep that. Hopefully it works without the AT&T thing.
