Did it pee on you?
For some reason turtles seem to like to pee when ya pick em up - even if your tryin to get them out the roadway..
So I aim their butts away from me, cause once was enough

 

Sounds like a you problem. With the amount of turtles I have picked up Only the little ones that fit in my hand have done it. Not even the big 10” plus snapping turtles has peed on me.

Way to cut me down man!!! I forgot! Yeah. I had Maxell back in the day. They even had some stackable cassette cases that would hook together? Or am I way off the mark again?!!! Lol

 

I keep a transfer shovel in my bed for snapper ‘relocation’. Just the other day I stopped traffic whilst I skidded that ornery bastard across the road. Stupid turtle!!

I guess if you that it can’t get you. But I wouldn’t pick snappers up like that.

I have only seen one snapper in a road. I move box turtles anytime I see them in the road.

I scrounged up a big pile of dert and ran 15 rounds thru that new gun, it did wut eet was spose to dew.

 

I got a technique to hold em where I don't loose a finger nor get peed on..

I used to catch terrapins in the Keys for work - they eat shellfish, so fingers are chump change - still got all 10

I like the shovel idea, much simpler and less messy - gonna have to toss one in the back of the truck
