I would argue miles better by any measure. But then I don't care for No. 7 or low-proof whiskies. When it comes to JD, I'm a huge fan of their barrel proof entries and special releases, but other than that...no thanks.

Yes but I've never come across this one at my local liquor store until recently either.

Another bottle kill - enjoyed this one. And enjoying this last sip as the full moon, or close to, peaks over the mountains. Enjoyable night on the patio!

Trying to imagine where that mountain range in the background might be?

It reminds me a little of Palomar Mountain in San Diego County or some of the Central Valley ranges from the eastern side.

This is really good. Remind me of the old knob creek cask strength but with a sweet note.

I just got my bourbon bottle a week or so ago…hearing you say it’s like KC cask with a sweet note!! Haha. Dang it! I should’ve purchased the combo!

Putting the finishing touches on our bar. We added a cork board where we keep the pins we collect from different distilleries as well as our Maker’s Mark Ambassador medals. We also put up Maker’s Mark barrel staves - and they smell like bourbon!!!! Very happy with how it turned out.

No, we had a contractor do most of the heavy work & we did the wallpaper, paint, stain, trim, shelf and cabinet lights and finishes. Oh, and we did the bourbon, beer, wine & other spirits. :D
