Hi! Looking to put new tires on my 2019 TRD Sport. I’ve been looking at the wrangler duratrac tires? Any suggestions? I’m looking for something pretty aggressive and noise I’m fine with. Also thinking of getting a 2inch front and 1.50 back lift kit. Maybe some wheel spacers too!

I'm looking in the next month to replace the OEM Tires on my wife's Subaru. After 6 years and 45,000 miles they still
have good tread but here in Arizona things tend to dry-out a bit faster. I think we could have got 60k out of 'em ...

I've done some research and like the Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail 225 /60 R17 for her Subaru.

They get darn good reviews. There's LOTS of info out there on every major contender - you'll find what you like.

If you want aggressive and don't care about noise, get a M/T. It'll be heavier and hurt your MPG a bit though.

If you wanna stick with an A/T I would get Toyo Open Country III or Wildpeaks.

One can never have too many light bars.
If you want something aggressive and don't mind the noise go with tank tracks.

Have to partially disagree with a few minor things.

MTs are a niche specialty tire. They are great for sloppy conditions, but the sacrifice is much more than noise and MPGs. Most MT's performance on dry, rocky, and/or pavement are actually far worse. Your stopping distance is far worse.

Knobby tires look bitchin, but know what you are getting into before making that $1200 mistake.

I would start looking into reviews of ATs. Do lift and spacers later.

I just got the new Falken Wildpeak R/T. Haven't been on much dirt with them yet but their road manners are pretty good, I really like them so far.

Nice. These are still pretty new and these are on my short list for new tires. Do you have some overall side shots of the vehicle and new shoes? I am considering a few other options Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT, Toyo AT III, Toyo RT, Cooper AT3 XLT and so on. They look sharp. I am very interested in how they do in the rain. I live in the PNW and that has to be factored in, hahaha.

It is curious that the 285/70/17 (33") seems to weigh more than the 285/75/17 (34"). 66.4 lbs vs. 65.8 lbs. I mean... neither option is going to get up and float away for being so light, but... I think I read somewhere that due to the 285/70/17 size being commonly used for 'from-the-auto-manufacturer' as an option, that some of those manufacturers request a beefier version to accommodate their vehicle requirements, and that's why it might weigh a bit more compared to an otherwise larger tire.

I have maxxis razr AT, an aggressive tire that is quiet on the road and supposed to be great for sloppier conditions. I’ve had it in the rain, feels confident, braking is good, mileage took a hit, but still finding times the trip computer tells me I’m getting 21, which isn’t worth a lot, but overall so far I’m down just under 2 mpg.
