OK so these dingleberries that I had do my brakes and wheel bearings did a bunch of shit that I didn't call for, had a bunch of dumbass excuses, and the work is also no good.

What I'm dealing with right now is the passenger CV that they changed (which is leaking at the diff) and upon closer examination of my (OEM) old CV, I don't see anything other than a missing boot clamp. No play at all if I try to rotate it with one end in the vice. Giving them the benefit of the doubt here that the CV is actually bad (no symptoms prior to the replacement), what am I looking for?

I haven't really understood reserves, I mean yeah fair that's what you want to sell it for, then sell it for 2mil. I can put my truck up "Reseve 100k!" and it won't sell.



I had to go through my old man's stamp collection he inherited from god knows where, and ebay was bananas. "RARE STAMP 1k!" - all no-sell, if you search the completed and sold listings they're going for like 99 cents. Shenanigans.

I think the auction (house?) also has to sign off on the sale saying "yes, this reserve makes sense". But I don't know much about old car auctions, to be fair. Just venting about ebay and completed listing shenanigans I've been dealing with

 

Yep, Bring A Trailer and seller have to agree reserve is reasonable or they won't list the car. I had some communication with them when I was selling my previous car but found a buyer in a couple days so...
