Hey gang another day to mod the Toyota :goingcrazy:I’m off work and have time.
I have an afternoon tint app I’m thinking of getting ceramic 15%-or 20% on all 5 windows and 50%-70% front windshield.

I’m in Florida I know the windshield might be illegal here… I’m scared 15% on 5 windows and 50% on windshield will be pushing my luck.

    what do you think,
    Drink responsibly today happy 5th

I did 18 sides and 50 windshield and love it. Thinking of going darker on the back window which would make the others look darker as well...

I did 5% over back 3 windows (yes even though it's stained/tinted from factory), 20% front 2 side windows, and 50% front windshield,,, all ceramic. It is nice and cool in the summer time, 50% is a little on the dark side for the front. If I could do it all again? I would go one lighter on the front windshield, and I do not regret the front sides and rear glass at all.
Oh and ceramic is amazing, not one some claim is "marketing bullshit".

Ceramic is baeeeeee. I'm 20% on all windows (even over the privacy glass) and 70% on the shield on both of my cars (all Suntek CIR) - can't even tell the shield is done because the clarity is so good with ceramic. Definitely doing 50% next time.

After driving in my buddies a90 last weekend with 50%, it really didn't look any different than my 70%, but should block even more heat. 50% was also recommended to me by my tint guy but I was so used to carbon tint that I didn't expect the clarity to be THAT good with the ceramic. Up to you though. If you add a thick brow to the top it makes the rest of the shield look clearer from inside and out.

I am also in FL and told my tint guy to go as dark as he could on the sides and back as the tint law allows. Front windshield tint must be non-reflective and can only be applied above the AS-1 line. I ended up passing completely on the front windshield tint. They also sell a clear ceramic tint for the front windshield that cuts glare and helps with heat but does not darken at all. One thing to keep in mind is that technically the FL law states your tint company should apply a compliance sticker to the driver's door pillar saying the tint is FL compliant, but no one ever does it. Here's what my truck ended up looking like while staying legal:

I'm going to be that guy that says I don't like the level of tint on my truck.

Perhaps it's my old eyes but it really interferes with my ability to see clearly especially at night.
I don't know what level they put on my wife's Subaru but cutting it in half would be good -
    Same with my truck -

It's still gonna get hot inside regardless, just crack the windows.

I'll take the extra tint you don't want and add it to mine. :D

Tint isn't for everyone, apparently, but especially in AZ it is a must. Have you been in a car with ceramic tint? The clarity is muchhhhhh better than the old carbon tint was. It's much easier to see out while keeping the vehicle darker and also blocks a ton of heat. You don't get that hot arm feeling anymore when the light comes through. The vehicle still does get hot, but takes a lot longer and cools off faster. Absolutely worth looking into.

5% tint all around, Raptor grill lights, ProComp 17x8.5 Rockwell wheels, Maxxis 265 / 65 / 17 AT tires, TRD skid plate
I did 5% on all windows except the windshield. It looks great, but its a little dark during night driving.

Removed some stuff, added some stuff.
Glad I read this one. I’m in need of some tint. Where’d you go?
