    Hey y’all, Just purchased a new Tacoma and with this being my first real truck thought joining a forum with y’all that have been here for a while would help me out quite a bit! Been having some mods that I’ve been kicking around so decided to join to see if any of y’all have done them and how you did them! A few that I’ve been kicking around is CB antenna mounting and pod lights and stuff like that. Nothing to crazy yet lol. Looking forward for y’all’s imput and thank you in advance for all the help

    Thanks y’all for the hospitality! Do y’all have a thread for cb mounting and stuff like that? I seen one thread where they did a super clean install but didn’t feel that was the place

    Perfect! I looked and really clean install! I’ve seen on the third gens you only really have two options out the hood or outside of the tailgate. I’m thinking either trying to DIY a side hood mount so it’s not in my view or on the front of the driver side bed. Just gotta find some mounts. The only issue with the hood one that makes me nervous is having my power and coax running through the same boot in drivers side. Curious if that will cause interference or not

    Try connecting the CB to the battery and place the power and coax together to see if it causes an issue. Do a few tests.
