I have yet to get a Toyota 4x4 pick up or Tacoma that the spare tire hoist ever worked .

If it did work The tire was flat.

i mounted my spare to the headache rack on the right side of the truck after looking at many other locations. it worked the best for my use of the truck.

i looked at the swing out type systems with the amount I backed into docks it would have been a royal pain always in the way

Some where tight enough swung to the side it would have not been possible to back in.

 

I think the hint is, he's missing the water pump. I aint gotta clue...

The driveshaft fell out. On most outboard motors the impeller fits around the driveshaft and is keyed to it. So when the engine runs, driveshaft spins. That turns the impeller and pumps water. Just so happens that on this particular engine the driveshaft is removable. And the customer lost it

Once the kids are shipped out, we're planning on moving somewhere warmer buy for now, we're staying put.
