Any NBA fans in here?

It goes both ways with Draymond. He works his ass off, especially on defense. But, he isn't much help to his team sitting on the bench

 

I have to trust the Warriors management. Their track record is probably second to none since Myers became GM.

 

I’m sure both he and they know that but accept the price. Otherwise he’d be long gone. We saw the end result of the JP incident and nothing of what led to it. He may overreact but he doesn’t do so unprovoked. In the end his will be a checkered legacy but it will be remembered nonetheless.

You'd be hard pressed to find a guy who gets involved in more plays at both ends of the court. He's everywhere all the time

 

Loved watching Embid falling flat on his face after whining his way to MVP.
Have been enjoying watching the Nuggets quietly getting the job done, and hope that they can send the Suns packing this weekend!

 

True, but I still think that man has the most positive impact for his team, overall, than anyone else in the running, but I know that his real quest is for the big prize, so we'll see how it goes.

 

It’s a good year for hoops with lots of teams having a realistic shot at it.

Flipside, while Poole was basically my favorite player last year, he has been a punk since. You are absolutely right to call it deplorable, but do you hold it against MJ when he famously slugged Kerr? Obviously a different time but same crime. Guys like Jordan and Kobe seem to get a longer leash because of their flash and offensive fireworks. Long story short, I have no real conclusions, but less violence would be nice.

 

Add Toronto. Seriously!

 

It would be a kick to see him land on LAL, GSW, or his other top trolling targets. Feels like all the fighting is for show and all the loyalty flips in an instant.

 

I don’t think it’s for show but I do think some of these guys don’t handle pressure well which isn’t much different from the rest of us only they aren’t buried in obscurity. DB will never be a Warrior as long as Myers and Kerr are around unless they believe they can do something about that. They were able to improve Demarcus Cousins’ image just not his durability. Wiggins was a fantastic addition because he’s more of a shrinking violet. With Steph he can shine without being the focus of attention.

 

Ja doesn't get hurt... That's an entirely different series.

Also... MEM just ran into their kryptonite in the 1st Rd. Same with MIL and SAC. Had those teams played anyone else... I think we get a different result. Some teams just have another's number.

 

All 4 series at 3-2. Last game ended badly but Dubs aren’t done yet. Steph needs to forget that “DNA” crap and light it up. He’s been shooting garbage all series.

That's 3 coaches that either have won... Or participated in the Finals within the last 5 seasons... Gone.

The pressure to win a postseason series is higher than ever. I mean... Can't fault Monty for his effort... He went 6 with a very deep Nuggets team who I think wins it all. But in the end... Didn't matter.

Edit: and as I hit send on this post... I look up at my tv to see ESPN noting they were also 3 of the last 4 coaches of the year.

 

Coaching matters but with such small rosters it’s more about talent and being lucky enough to avoid key injuries. Stability at the top lets you build a staff that can attend to each and every player’s coaching requirements.

Given how many decades we had to wait for this to be notable I can live with it.

 

Can’t complain too much. They did well with a very limited bench.

 

Gonna cry into those four championship trophies for a little bit.
