That is some amazing automotive history. Open canopy bombing down a salt flat at 300mph...wow. 6.6" borestroke , wonder how many gallons per mile it used.

Back in the day my first car was a 1972 Plymouth Fury II. Great car but the hood latch was messed up. Once while I was going 55mph and the hood flew up. I was 16 or 17 years old. Luckily I knew enough to look low in the windshield through the small gap in order to see enough to pull onto the shoulder.

Here are some more pictures of my trans am. I haven’t posted these pictures here yet.

    Pictures are from July 2022

Here’s me trying to open the trunk. The trunk hadn't been opened since 2012. It contained the original license plate from when my dad first registered it back in the mid 80s, a match box car of the Bandit Trans Am, and every single service record dating back to 1986

Cool looking but every design of them leaked. Plus they were a pita having to have room in the trunk to keep them and secure enough back there not to move around and break.

I was 16 and had just moved from upstate New York to Colorado two years prior. My uncle from New York drove his brand new ‘77 gold Trans Am [identical to yours] from New York to Colorado to visit. He pulls in the driveway and I’m drooling over the T/A. He throws me the keys and tells me to go enjoy it for the day. What? Really? Yes, so I took it out all day long on a nice summer day. Showing off to all my friends and returning it with slightly less tread on the rear tires.

I would not park my car there... especially next to hospital employees. I work at a Kaiser here in SoCal and the employees are very careless with their own cars so you can only imagine how they feel about other peoples cars. But kudos to that physician for taking his car out and not leaving it in the garage

Everybody in this parking garage parks like an asshole. I could spend all my time taking pictures of cars for the asshole parking thread and never get inside to do my visiting.
