Before we go, did you know that the 1920s Olympics were in this badass pool, which was 61*?! Antwerp.

There. At least you learned something.

I am one of the people that thinks Toyota should make a compact truck, but agree it's a total pipedream to think it could be out in 2024.

I checked out a Youtube video on the Stout. Got my interest, particularly if it starts at $25,000! The Maverick looks like a Senior Citizen truck in comparison. Stout is a bit more cool looking AND, it's a Toyota!

The Stout has been produced and sold overseas for years. Time to come to the U.S. to compete with the Maverick and as a bookend to the Tacoma and Tundra

Right, I think the Stout went out of production overseas at the end of the 1980's. They could revive that nameplate if they ever decide to enter the compact truck market again.

I have a 3rd gen Tacoma. My wife has a new Bronco Sport (same as the Maverick platform). When I drive or see either, there is no way in hell I could call either a "truck". I doubt Toyota will rush a small ute based model "truck" , eh....to market.

The Youtube rendition is a good enough indicator of what it will most likely look like. OR, just my wishful thinking

If we can have 8-10 different sizes of Toyota SUVs, why can’t we have a small/medium/large pickup selection? I’d love to see the Stout even offered in a regular cab. Keep it simple Toyota, that’s how all this got started in the first place.

One of my favorite trucks was my 02 Tacoma Pre-Runner TRD 2wd regular cab with the 4 banger. I had a shell on that and would go camping out in the desert with it.

It is not a pipedream, I've heard about from people working on Toyota vehicles. Particularly, the source I actually still trust with good faith intentions, unlike the others who went out of their way to way mislead me instead.

It's just not a 2024 model, but it has been designed already. They've been testing them. I try not to go off of speculation, but sometimes it's not easy to weed out credible insight vs professional hearsay. I'd put this in the former column.

No need to be like that, I'm just passing onto you what I have learned from a trusted person. I don't see why you'd believe otherwise, but eventually it will come out officially. No reason for you to delete your account, as I don't even think we're arguing. I'm explaining to you what I learned last year regarding prototype testing amongst other Toyota vehicles and you believe otherwise for your reasons, because you feel the topic is premature. Calling it a 2024 Stout is 100% inaccurate I agree, but the reality of a unibody pickup in development is a different matter altogether. I'll guess we'll leave it there, by agreeing to disagree.
