yeah, i love my truck but have told my wife if I ever come across a long bed frame, and a box I'm going to find a 5spd crew cab and build the truck I think I really wanted, 6spd, crew cab, 6ft bed, and then pull from my current truck what i really wanted. return my current short bed to a weekend toy.

 

It was announced 3 days ago they WILL offer a manual still.

Take it to Lowes, They sell Craftsman. I took some old broken ratchets back to them and got replacements for free.

I took a broken ratchet to lowes and they gave me a form to fill out and send in with my broken ratchet.

 

see this is why I like Husky from home depot. grab a pack yank one out send me on my way. though ive done that for years but I've also sent them in to Stanley and gotten replacements as well. now my ratchets are mostly Cornwell. because I can just buy a rebuild kit never had to rebuild my husky ratches but i do open them up every so often scrub the guts up then throw some grease on the guts

 

To be fair when Sears was in business I took lots of scrapped tools in for replacements one of the few perks of being a garbage man. We also used to hey lots of replacement dewalt and Milwaukee batteries

 

Some of y’all are doing/worrying way too much about warranty on these hand tools, sounds like too much trouble (for the most part) to recoup about $40. If I had a tool break, it’s probably because I’m using it and I’ll just buy a new one to finish whatever I’m doing and move on.

I still have some craftsman from sears that are 15 years old..if those crapped out, it’s going in the trash.

Obviously I’m not referring to the high priced stuff.

Had a cousin that got all kinds of cool stuff as a garbage man. Got one of those nice Honda suitcase generators the guy put by his trash can. All it needed was carb cleaned. Another was a great big Honda pressure washer. All it needed was added oil since the motor had low oil shutoff.

 

My best score was a brand new stihl back pack blower the needed 2 bolts put back in between the backpack and the motor. I don't do that kind of garbage man work anymore I'm in an automated truck but the guys that do that kind of work and put effort into it can pull 5 to 7 k a year scrapping. We are not supposed to do it but no one really cares just don't get caught by the customers. You would be surprised how many people throw away guns.

 

Bummer, They replaced mine right there. Maybe different between stores.

Judging from the light coming through the wheels in those silhouette shots I’m betting 16” wheels end with Gen 3.

 

is there any interest in a 2 gallon gas and storage rotopax containers with keyed locks? Never been used came with the truck had to drill out old locks dealer couldn't find them so i installed new ones. one lock has some scuff marks on it from the vise. both come with mounting plates and hardware. I haven't set a price yet just seeing if there is anyone who would use them as i don't.
