Putting the finishing touches on our bar. We added a cork board where we keep the pins we collect from different distilleries as well as our Maker’s Mark Ambassador medals. We also put up Maker’s Mark barrel staves - and they smell like bourbon!!!! Very happy with how it turned out.

Very very nice Mark. Well done. And being a bourbon aficionado myself I am truly impressed with your collection and selections. So when is the 60+ bourbon tasting new bar party?

Long ago and not far away, I bought a house because the seller staged a chess board next to the fireplace.

Wel, we have a Wii. Haven't hooked it up in ages. :D We've had several configurations in our basement family room. Now that our gandkids are older and we are retired, the bar is for us. Over the years, we've played chess, backgammon and many board games. Now I just enjoy sitting there - with a drink or without - and talking. Life is good

Oh, and good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

I follow a guy on YouTube that repairs/restores the olger electromechanical pin ball machines and early table video games like Packman. You would be amazed at the prices of these older machines bring if they are restored.

Good Saturday Morning. Off to the gym in a few minutes then taking my son to the Apple store to hve the battery in his phone replaced. I think the odds are better than 50/50 he will purchase a new phone. ;)

Yesterday's dinner was fantastic. I tried out new coleslaw and cheese & Mac recipes and both were well received, there was nothing left of both items. The pork loin came our so much better than expected. This was my first attempt at a braided pork loin.

Asheville has a pinball museum. One nominal entry charge, and play any and all as long as you want. Really fun.

So something pretty cool just happened.
I’m sure you remember this car we raced.

Well it was sold ( like things are). We have a buddy that is in Germany this week.
Look what he came across …

On a teenage road trip to Las Vegas the car broke down (long story) and we had to wait in Beaver Utah for repairs. The local burger joint had a pin ball machine. I dropped a quarter (dime?) and began to play. I was in the zone and started racking up free games. The locals began to notice and gather round. Someone put their own coin into the juke box and began to play Pinball Wizard continuously. It got to be a little weird with the crowd surrounding me and no escape because I had so many free games accumulated. Finally I had enough and invited one of the locals to take my place. We left to cheers, retrieved the car, and continued on to Las Vegas, cash poor due to the repair bill. But a private poker game at the Thunderbird Motel made us enough for a tank of gas home. Them were the days...

    Good morning,

Glad to see you all enjoying projects. Heading to grandkids soccer games then back home to mow the lawn. We have bulk trash pickup in a couple of weeks so I might start to haul crap to the curb. We are back to winter here. It's like 15 degrees below normal. I'm tired of the cold but it keeps the creeks flowing in the banks I guess. Have a great day.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Rain forecast for days past and coming, and we don't get any. Might mow. Field behind the fence doesn't look at all like the city tractors were there 2 weeks ago. If weeds were crops and lawns.....
