In the event of a ticket I’d just go back to stock to fix it. Not ideal but that would avoid the fine and is simple enough to do.
Luckily my failure was the reverse portion of the switchback but the orange turn signal still works. I looked at the vled switchbacks for the stage 1 kit, but I’m not ready to spend $100 dollars on 2 bulbs yet. If I have another failure with the meso bulbs I’ll probably wind up going down that road though.

I wouldn’t buy their two “triton 921” bulbs meant for the Meso stage 1, those are worse brightness than the Meso. I like their actual tail kit they came up with which has a very similar designed switchback to the Meso one (since they designed it for Meso originally)

FWIW my TTS1 kit came with a VLED's branded switchback bulb for the reverse/turns. The brake lights are just basic red leds, I think that's mostly where they differ (then the TTS2 was all VLED's brand) unless they changed something. I ordered mine ~ August 2021. Not all of MESO's parts are winners but these are definitely my favorite thing they make.

Yeah, unfortunately they changed to their own manuf. later in 2021 I believe. Maybe early 22. Mine were a plastic Meso bulb.

Why is everyone harping on the volume? Of course you get used to that. The issue is how pressing UP makes you go DOWN in your numbered presets of the radio. If I want to go from preset 1 to preset 2, I have to press down on the steering wheel when my brain consistently tells me to press up. Such a little thing but boy does it drive me up a wall.

With that being said, I'm expecting this install to suck and in that case I'll just live with it lol

    What’s a radio preset? Lol
I can’t imagine install will be hard at all. Two screws hold the airbag in and four screws for the trim pieces. That being said I sure hope no one gets hurt pulling the bag without disconnecting the battery first.
I haven’t done it personally, but from steering wheel vids I think it may be possible to get the trim off while just moving the airbag, without disconnecting the harnesses

Finally! Take my money already haha! I've been waiting for this mod for a long time... I hope it doesn't stay in that glossy black finish though.

If only the idiots at Toyota designed it the correct way

Start button trim rings just moved up a spot on the list of things I'd spend money on.

sad that it takes an aftermarket solution to do the correct thing lol - i'd love to hear the REASON the designers did the 'wrong' way - I bet they have a justification, they always do.

It's like the iPhone - the number of stupid things I discover on this phone every day are breathtaking. I keep accidently taking screen shots when picking up my phone with my hand and gripping both sides of the phone.

I set the volume to full on my HU, and my iPhone acts as a remote with volume control. I can sit in the box of the truck and use the remote. Pretty advanced shit!

As much as I'd like to change the volume control on the steering wheel, I'm too used to it now to change it.

It’s not necessarily wrong, just counterintuitive. Volume left/right corresponds with the volume bars left/right on the display, corresponds w/ volume knob left/right. If they didn’t all match up, I’m certain people would complain about that too.

Valid point unless you have two cars which is when it’s really a pain in the ass. I’m forever hitting the wrong button in every car as a result.
