The Hayden failed to properly cool when it hit 110 here a year ago while towing a larger 6x12 Uhaul in town. Highway driving is fine. The B&M looks massive in comparison so I might give it a shot like you said. CSF and Coldcase make all aluminum rads with internal trans coolers. But they doesn't help me get rid of my $300 paperweight Koyorad.

My issue with the newer Denso Chinese built radiators is they're not as efficient as the old Toyota OEM Harrison built radiators. My buddy with a 99 4Runner complained about the same thing with his new Denso. I'm not sure his OEM was Harrison since a 4Runner is built in Japan. Somehow the brand new Denso is worse than the dirt clogged, cracked, 20+ year old radiators. Same situation on my 99 with it's Denso. Only a problem in the summer when it's 105+ out while wheeling or stop and go traffic towing. But that weather is becoming more normal lately.

I'll figure something out. In all reality the Denso running at 200-210 in super hot weather vs 190 isn't a big deal. It just bothers me that it's worse than before lol.

 

I mean towing is one thing but keep in mind, I too had a 4Runner and put in a new Denso in there and after replacing the thermostat (Zane sent me a new OEM one) I never ran more than 180 even up the Grapevine.

 

That was before I plumbed the transmission cooler too. I had it installed for awhile but never ran the lines until I was getting rid of it so I bet that helped a lot more.

 

In my case what kept my 4R running warmer than I would've liked was my thermostat was sticking.

A proper swivel and nice deep six wall socket will ensure you don't strip those 3 bolts holding the housing.

I think the socket got lost in the move but I still have the swivel and it's much more solid than the 10 other swivels I've got in my many tool boxes.

Damn he looks happy as hell to get a bath. We haven't put her in water yet. Just whipping her down.

 

Yeah as soon as his little belly button stump fell off, I gave it an extra day to really stay dry and bathed him after.

He now enjoys the baths, but hates when I take him out. Worst part is he kicks and pushes so strongly that it's impossible to keep him wrapped in a towel as you dry him.

 

I wonder how long they last, or what kinda torque they can withstand

 

I’m at Discount Tire now getting the KM3s put on. It turns out the website was wrong and they’re actually about 54 lbs each, so I’m a little bummed about that. Honestly I’m wishing I had just ordered the Yokohamas. Oh well, I’ll give them a shot anyway.

 

Meanwhile, some of us ran +60lb tires on our Tacoma's/4Runner's like it was nothing

Random point of data for your calculus, but my Napa branded replacement rad has the auto cooler ports and has had no problem keeping me at 194° in the summer

 

My tires are 69# alone, I should put the spare on a scale one of these days... If I owned a scale.

 

I'm sure my Cooper's were about 65lb based on what TW said the wheels weighed.

The Toyo M/T spare was definitely more than 65lb...that bitch was a beast.



Had to go Toyo cause that's when Cooper had their shortage in that 33" skinny.

 

They’re only 5 lbs more per tire than the Yokies, idk how much of a difference that makes in rotational unspring mass but I probably couldn’t tell the difference

 

Again, many of us ran significantly heavier.

Theyre not any heavier than the E-rated KO2s on there now. It just rides like a barge compared to my old 2.7 truck on 31” Cooper MTs for some reason.
