Oh there will be some mods all right
Definitely excited for the new Tacoma. At this point nothing short of putting a V8 in it could make me want one but still looking forward to seeing all the changes/upgrades

What set up is everyone running? I was duped into thinking one brand is the way to go (Chemical Guys). But I've learned everyone kind of mixes and matches.

Husqvarna pressure washer that's probably overkill for the semi-annual detailing I do.

Mother's Wheel and Tire Cleaner with their brush and one of those longer wheel brushes from Amazon.

Amazon foam cannon with the Honeydew Foam soap from Chemical guys (smell is just too good).

Meguiar's Gold Class soap for two bucket method.

I used to get all my rags from The Rag Company for drying and applying Chemical Guys VRP to the interior. Although I've gotten lazy and keep using the Kirkland microfiber mega packs they sell at Costco for EVERYTHING including detailing.

And when I'm feeling motivated I'll use Meguiar's Quick Detail spray with the clay kit they sell.

Then I finish with some of the Chemical Guys Butter Wax. That's applied with some Turtle Wax applicators I got on clearance at Farm and Fleet. The double sides are perfect for it.

Aside from all this I still struggle to find a wet wipe I like for quick clean ups. ArmorAll and Tub O Towels always leave too much residue for my liking.

Anyone in southern Wisconsin have the 3rd gen DCLB factory exhaust they'd part with? I can trade you my stainless steel cat-back Magnaflow exhaust.

I'm in Chicago area. Thanks guys!

I have a Ryobi electric pressure washer, great for washing a vehicle because it’s on and off with the gun so you don’t have to constantly turn it on. I use a Mosmatic gun/wand, longer and larger hose, swivel fittings… the works. Bought that package through Obsessed Garage.

Most of my stuff is ceramic coated so just wash with Carpro Reset, two bucket method, then dry it off with the leaf blower and use a drying aid. All towels I use are from The Rag Company also.

For the interior, it always stays fresh so I just do an occasional wipe down with Carpro Interior Detailer.

Feel free to PM me with any detailing questions. It’s kind of my thing lol

I do the Kwik-Trip touchless wash every month or so. I occasionally step it up and get the deluxe.

NEVER use armor all. They're basically snake oil, but UV light shrinks the armor all protective coating and it either warms or cracks. Whatever it's attached to. That might be the clear code on your exterior paint or it might be the dash inside.

I've never liked it. It always seemed to make the dash feel greasy.

And collect dust. I’m all about a natural look. I don’t want my interior to look like anything is there. Carpro interior detailer is amazing. I use it on the dash, leather, and touch screen it leaves no streaks no residue and doesn’t collect anything. I love it.

It’s far more affordable if you don’t trade in every other week!

I love these negative Armor All comments. Haters gonna hate. A pic (crappy as it is) is worth a thousand words. You can use anything else you like for 27 years and get back to me. Then we can compare interiors. I've been using Armor All on my '96 Silverado since '97. I don't see any cracks on the dash (or anywhere else) with 272,xxx miles. I love the stuff. It flat out works. YMMV. Applied once a month when the temps are decent enough.

Used the stink out of Armour All back in the 80's on my 55 chev. Eventually it would turn the tires brown; but, a good scrub with Ajax got them back black. Now I use 303 products with quite good results.

+1 to this. If it works for you, fantastic. But in my experience it just creates a mess. Better products exist nowadays - 303, Chemical Guys, etc.

I hate tire shine that is glossy goop. I 100% love Griots Garage Black Satin aerosol. Gives back some protection after I clean off the dirt & bloom with Bleach White and gives back some protection against rot/cracking without looking goofy.

Tire shine? TIRE SHINE?! Shameful. Tires are supposed to be perpetually covered in dirt.
