Probably the Canes best win of the season and the Devils worst game. Canes looking good.

 

This is the first Devils or Canes game I've watched in the playoffs , how did NJ beat the Rangers ?

 

Devils lost first 2 games vs Rags then rookie goalie Schmid came in for the Devils and shut them down most games.
Canes offense with rearranged lines has been clicking and lit Schmid up and both games devils have took him out and put Vanecek in, didn’t help.
Really it’s the Canes puck pressure, they fight for the puck, Devils can’t get anywhere with it, plus Freddie Andersen has been playing playoff quality in net.
Devils should play better at home. Maybe.

 

I should add it’s also the Devils speed that beat the rangers in addition to their goalie. That speed is matched by the Canes who have one of the best defenses in the league, second in lowest GA only to the Bruins.

I am just talking shit, but Draisaitl has been the better player, McDavid being dubbed the "Greatest Player in the World" is being outplayed by his own teammate. Vegas shit the bed last night, McDavid got his first goal and Draisaitl has 6 now in this series.

 

Vegas has no where else to go in net either. VGK might be sweating.

 

I don't disagree at all. I think Draisaitl is extremely underrated just because he's always compared to McDavid. Draisaitl is 100% outplaying McDavid in both series so far.

Somehow I don't think Dallas is coming back in this one

 

Finally, we haven't played great at home, and frankly, the fans just didn’t know the game at first, it’s taken a while. Get a playoff atmosphere with a lot of scoring, fans barely get a chance to sit down, gets the vibe right. I don’t doubt Dallas comes back with an answer, but we’ve shown we can put up goals in bunches, 7 different scorers tonight, could be a different group next game, vs teams with great top 2 lines. Hell, first game was SEA 5 Pavelski 4, and he’s all anybody talked about.

 

For those who have been around a while the Bolts fan who threatened to find me and my family made a brief appearance again as Mudtruck1967. Not sure how many years he's jumped on randomly because I still live in his head rent free. What a loser.

The older I get, and the more money that 'professional' athletes make, the more I really couldn't give a flying fuck for the success or failure of Teams. If my Team loses, and doesn't get their big prize..... oh well, I suppose they'll just have to go home and cry themselves to sleep on their giant piles of money!! meh..
So when 'people' get to the level of threatening other folks.... over this type of thing.... that's just straight up insanity!!

 

Not sure how the Canes play one of their best games of the season only to follow it with their worst…but here we are. Not sure if they will win another game or run the table

 

Toronto looks to be in serious trouble now. Their top guys just invisible out there. It's crazy.

I'm kind of shocked with Dallas getting smoked again. Oett hasn't looked himself at different points of this series. It's odd. They need to get Robo going too. It's crazy that Seattle is missing 2 really good players and still looking like the better team so far.

 

Yup, when we lost Burakovsky we were first in the pacific and he was our top points getter/assists leader. We went barely over .500 in the regular season after he went down. I don’t think anyone figured we’d find ways to beat teams with much better top-billed players, especially after losing McCann.

McCann skated Saturday so hopefully he’s close and Burakovsky could return after surgery late this month. It’d be interesting to see if we can hold out that long what he’d add back in the lineup
