Classic case of urban sprawl. Covid shit breached the line.

 

Did COVID make the issue worse? Sure.

But it’s been bad in NJ for long before COVID was around.

 

Even south jersey is becoming land of the warehouses

Is anyone available to help me install a roofrack next weekend? I’m in Hamilton.

I have all the tools, driveway/garage space, and skills needed and could probably do it alone as I did the last time but it would be easier with an extra set of hands. I’ve got cold beverages and an open schedule, let me know if you’d like to help.

 

Jackson is getting bad. Over by Six Flags they knocked down a ton of trees for warehouses and such. Barely even recognize it anymore.

 

Yeah, for sure. The whole work from home thing totally messed our housing market up around here. That's kinda what I meant. Im 50 min from the GWB but its woods and rural. So, everyone moved around here and basically anywhere within an hr or so of city cause they only had to go in 1 time a week. Also paid like 20-50k more for houses so nobody local could get into nicer homes.

 

IMO from what I have seen it's the entire NE. PA has some incredible forests and riding but locals have been dumping garbage there for literally years. Sarco/pines/stag hill in some spots also are absolute shit from local kids throwing parties and leaving trash everywhere. Now I know some are from "chitty people" but I have seen tons of slack jawwed local yocals being shit heads too.

Part of why I want to leave where I am at. What was farms 8 years ago is now all warehouses.

north jersey IS New York minus some of the accents. Only choice is to move to the Midwest or far south where the morons from the cities haven’t flocked to yet

For sure. I gauge hot as unbearable or just real hot. 3 years in vegas before here, real hot. Went back to Tampa for 4 months after vegas and was like wtf there is no way im living here again. Not even an option. Its like 85-90 but feels like 200

 

Amen. At least in the desert you get some relief at night and in the shade.
