How about ax or knife throwing and throw a few grenades off the porch.

Wow, hard to believe. When I was a kid my mother use to take me to Giants games (she was a big fan) and I got to see many of the old greats. Mays was my favorite. Almost every game he did something spectacular. From home runs, to clutch hits, to base stealing to unbelievable catches and throws and on and on. He was the complete package, one of the best to ever play the game. God bless you Willie.

Brings back memories. I saw Willie play at the Polo Groinds in New York. He was an all around player. Saw,many of the best play in New York at Ebbets Field, Yankee Stadium and later in time the Mets at Shea stadium
    Those were the days .

    Yeah, the best.
My dad took me to see him at a grocery store promo. We lived in Sacramento. I was little, so the 50s for sure.
I recall his shoestring catches most.

    Evening all:

That sure is a nice bar Mark, your stash is safe from me also! Too bad Ollie isn't still around, they used to have wine nights between a couple of wine makers and usually no one could walk straight afterwards. One time he offered me some dandelion wine, just to be cordial I tasted maybe a tablespoon of it, that stuff would put hair on your chest, he asked me if I wanted more, NO THANKS!

Got the yard mowed today and we will be hitting the lake @ 9:30 tonight. It's not looking good, last night Jim and his BIL could only manage 1 walleye, possibly the water is still too cold. :notsure:

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!! Zero Turn is still in the shop....grass is now approaching Rain Forest status. I got the field mower started and also go the string trimmer running and ready. Our pool is now opened, too, so I hit it with some more shock - might be ready to vacuum out today.

Ken you are a lucky guy!

    Get well quickly.

Good morning. Not much planned for today. Going to tackle installing a new SSD in the upstairs computer, replace two 4mb chips of ram with two 8mb chips of ram, and a fresh install of Win 10 pro with an upgrade to Win 11. At least I can practice the guitar while doing the computer work.

Man I suck with computers, it's just beyond me. Some folks our age just get it and understand it and then theres folks like me that can barely use them. I just dont know my way around computers and they change so fast that I cant keep up. I can barely edit a video and post it to YouTube. I tried to figure out sketchup for designing my woodshop projects but that was a no and extremely frustrating. Back to the pencil and paper.

Well that's way ahead of me...

I've wanted to do some youtube posts for awhile now, but it's intimidating to expand into another computer venue that I just know will be loaded with frustrations. As you say, it seems like some people have some kind of inherent ability, but that's not me. Anything computer is a grind.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/bourbon trailers. My wife has a distant relative in Kentucky whose stepfather was the founder of Maker's Mark.
She inherited a bunch of stock or ownership rights or somesuch -- and she never touches a drop of alcohol!

I was fortunate enough to be invited along for a private tour of a car museum near us, 3 Dog Garage. If you're a fan of Fords, and particularly of racing Fords, the place is pure heaven. Every kind of Cobra, Mustang, Ford GT, drag racer, road racer, NASCAR racer, you can imagine. Most of them have historical significance; for example there are cars that were driven by Dan Gurney, Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones, and a litany of other famous drivers. I was there a few years ago and it was one floor in one building; yesterday we toured 2 buildings, each with 3 floors of cars. Incredible place.

I didn't take a lot of pictures but I did send one back to my wife, who loves woodies.

    Morning all:

:( Sorry to hear that you have a cold that's "kicking your butt" Sue.
Are you sure it's not a flu bug, last time I had the flue it felt like all the energy was sucked out of me, didn't want to do anything but rest.

:(:( NOT LOOKING GOOD, we could only manage to catch 2 small walleyes last night in around 4 hrs., the good news is that that the stripers weren't hitting either.

A little something every chance we get.
:rain:Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue (get better quick!)! Wetter this morning than from any of the big storms we didn't get, and no official rain. Just a ton of humid on the ground. Too tired this AM to get to a too wet car show. Looks like a day off.
Hit the field fence with a weed eater - someone with a riding mower actually cut some grass out there; I think to clear the fence for my neighbors trailer exit. Mowed, watered made burgers, fixed that pump that burst again, and ordered a new one.
I'd be happy to come sit at that bar, have A drink, and just listen to some tales, Mark. I can't drink the hard stuff anymore, but I can have A drink...

Fyi, Sam's club has Mobil 1 0w20 oil on sale again for $33 a case. I've been stocking up, I probably have a 5 year supply at the rate I've been going with my taco. 2 years and 7k miles, changed the oil at 1k and again at 5k just because it had been a year. Same thing will happen this year because I ride a ebike to work and don't put miles on my truck unless the weather is bad. I like a annual oil change, lol.
