As long as the containers are sealed I wouldn't worry about using it in your snowblower (5W-30 is too light for mower use) or for a top up in an older vehicle.
I wouldn't use it in a newer vehicle as the additive specifications have been changed for more modern engines.
    Shake the containers before using.

It was a nice day here, just about 71 degrees - a good day to raise the drive by appearance of the property from abandoned to poorly maintained.

Started off with 2 flats on the New Holland mower, not the new clunker the old clunker that I bought for $100 and commenced to spend about 10X that to keep it mowing. :frusty:

After several hours of mowing & trimming things look good.

So I had an hour of daylight to take the old Ford with front blade to clear a bit more on the trail.

Yes, I said :censored: -- piece of tree took off the valve stem...

    KIMG3078.jpg

As I was way up on the hill it was a nice  walk lugging a crappy tire I took off another clunker. I lifted the 900 pound tractor with a 2 x 4 and a piece of tree - fun time trying to align the holes.

It got me back to the garage.

    KIMG3079.jpg

    :rant::rant::rant:
Always :censored: tires... I've jacked with 11 tires in the last 2 weeks...

should also be able to mix it into the gas for any 2-cycle equipment roaming the property, right?

    No....

2 cycle oil is a way different product than vehicle engine oil.

Well now I don't know what to do!
I only use full synthetic in everything at this point. I end up with some partial quart from a vehicle and use that in the mower or snowblower.

I probably shouldn't do that with my wife's 0W16 when I get hers changed, huh?

I wonder does any still use motor oil in a oil can like me.

Now that there are so many spray lubes on the market.

That must be better then motor oil .

Rusty might disagree with me, but 5w30 is fine for mower use, especially in your climate IMO. It's still a 30wt when at temp.

    Not necessarily disagree.

Usually the manual for air cooled engines states "oil consumption may be higher when using 5W-30 in summer temperatures". I have observed this having 5W-30 in the snow plow tractor, it won't use any oil all winter but will during spring clean up.

Small engines don't have all that much oil to begin with, so one should be cautious. ;)

BTW: It isn't actually a 30 grade at temp - it is still a 5 grade that thins no more than a 30 grade due to the magic of polymers.

An old style oil can is handy at the drill press where you can add a drop at a time rather than try for accuracy with a spray.
