Yep, that’s exactly what I’m doing. Picked up a 24f AGM battery. Couldn’t find a 27f locally and already made a 24 size box haha

I’m interested to see how you work out the terminals under the hood when you get there. Mine are just zip ties so they don’t flop around and I’m running off the alternator right now lmao.

You do any research on using the aluminum vs copper wire for it? I want to use aluminum since it is so much cheaper but was a little worried it wouldn’t keep up with loud music and lots of lights as well.

It was only $75 for 50’ worth of wire so I didn’t bother looking into aluminum. I figured I’d build a little mounting plate and weld it to the engine cage for the terminal blocks. Instead of trying to rewire the alternator and factory ground I think I’m just going to cut off the battery terminal hicky boogers and put rings on them.

Came up with this for the positive side of things. Little ghetto. Drilled out the factory stuff to 3/8”. Might burn down the truck during an oil change, but hey you only die once :notsure:

Sometimes I feel like I’m making a very expensive car bomb. Also, I’ve welded four thousand ground points to the frame. I don’t remember unbolting that many, but apparently I did. The main 1/0 lead is sleeved with 5/8” discharge hose. Decided to mount the winch box beside the winch so I can get all the air to my poor radiator.

I hope I didn’t mess ordering these these up. Not the cheapest thing in the world.

Workflow, but truck related haha every time I try to bomb my 1/2 mile rutted out driveway in the F150 I’m reminded how freaking plush the JD kit was. Only thing slowing me down was turning. Now I’m lucky to go 8 mph on it.

Picked up some MarTec poly motor mounts. Since the rear trans mount is poly, I figured it’d probably be best to have consistency with the front.

Probably so since it’s close. I’ll let you know in case you want to join. Might do Stoney, I don’t know. I’m going to beat on it at home the best I can beforehand. Hopefully work out any kinks.

Had it gassed up, ready to ride out of the garage, but ran into a hiccup. Was bleeding the steering and noticed the pump leaking from the back side when the truck is running. Not sure what happened, but I’ve ordered a new pump and hopefully PSC can tell me what the problem was.

I ordered another from Summit in case it’s my fault. I don’t know what could have happened. Had a shop press the pulley on, maybe it went too far or bent the shaft. Truck fired right up though, so once this is squared away I’m ready to drive it.

Redid the front hydro mount with a TMR. Drove it out of the garage after six long months. Sitting a couple inches too tall and I have some other things to wrap up, but so glad it runs haha

That looks awesome, looking forward to seeing it on the trails.
