Yep, it has become a suburban cruiser like damn near every other sport utility vehicle. Would be nice if they did another platform with a removable top and doors to go up against those two.

Bronco and Wrangler still outsold it by quite a margin in Q1.

I'm sure if Toyota updated it, it would have potential to grab some of their market share too. I'm convinced this is why Toyota has delayed it, they will make it more Bronco like is my guess.

I am guessing that one is an Off Road since it has black fender flares and no hood scoop.

Saw this on Reddit. I surely hope Toyota moved the cab mount back by 2-3” for some 33’s at stock height.

If 285’s are standard then we’ll start to see an influx of “will 35’s fit my stock 4th Gen” threads.

Incredibly cool idea and I would consider buying one. As would at least one of my buddies, but it would never happen. Far too poor fuel economy to ever happen. EPA say no fun for U.S.

35s fit my stock 96 Land Cruiser with solid front axle. These would have to be pretty skinny 35's to fit up front.

I'll reply to a few posts in a bit.

Thanks, got a text about this from someone and ran here. It just keeps getting worse for Toyota...(stuff happens) or they're doing it themselves. It's conveniently blurry.

The new truck has good proportions, but in detail it’s also looking heavily styled (like Tundra), including a lot of “rugged-look” lines & elements that seem unnecessary and won’t age well. Don’t listen to my opinion though, b/c that’s exactly what sells more trucks to SUV/CUV converts right now, and I think Gen1’s clean design is practically a work of truck art. So what do I know.

Toyota truck designers (stylists?) seem stuck in their opinion that if you want attention, you gotta shout the loudest. What else could explain the Tundra front end. At some point though, tough starts looking insecure (Ridgeline HPD).

I applaud their relative restraint on the new Tacoma’s facia, but there’s a lot going on everywhere else. I’m looking forward to seeing other versions, b/c lower tier models might actually be the best looking.

MY BIL told me that the Gen 6 'Runner was at an auto show today. That's simply false information, correct?

No way Toyota would put a new Gen of anything out without having teased it or on its website first.

They saw a portable speaker and their panties got all bunched up. Now they're in comfy granny panties.
