As a 3rd Gen owner, I’m happy that the 4th Genners will take our place as the laughing stock of TW. Put on your cap and gowns boys, we’re graduating soon.

I like 2nd Gen. I like 3rd Gen. And I think I like 4th Gen. Definitely like 1st Gen but I swapped to Tundra back then. Absolutely like the pre 1st Gen too. I’m the worst of the worst.

Maybe that means the TRD Pro will be geared towards fast off roading while the TrailHunter will be for slow crawler off roading? Those big fenders might be a sign of a long travelish suspension to compete with the Raptor offerings from Ford.

The 3rd is a continuation of the 2nd. There isn’t anything WOW about the 3rd Gen when compared to a 2nd. I mean just look at A-Trac, it works better than the stupid Crawl Control.

Thinking it is wide fenders and flares, coupled with zero offset wheels so it can fit on the Tundra chassis…just a hunch.

What I was afraid of, they went mad aggressive and those lines are terrible, it will not age well at all. But I know this is the new norm for design. Hoping the lower trims are better but realizing in order to fit on the same platform probably needs those ridiculous fenders.

Wait until you see a Bronco Raptor in person and you will never think another fender flare is big again. The Broncos rear fenders look like they were cut from a recycling bin. They’re massive.

Precisely why I bought a late 3rd Gen.

Well… I bought it to impress girls but all the attention it gets comes from middle aged men.

Toyotas styling has been off the rails for years. Was reserved for decades, last few years they have been over compensating, just look at all their vehicles and Lexus. Only thing they are reining back in is the Prius.

Not sure I would blame Toyota, blame today’s “look at me need to stand out” society. Seems like it is a constant contest of who can weird out the most.

Those are awful, the round wheel wells look odd on it altogether. Looks much better with Advance Fiberglass squared off ones. Bit more true to the original.
