What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

No, the people on the motorcycle had to be moved by ambulance and then one air lifted (or so I heard). they were not wearing any gear and afterwards I only saw one helmet on the ground. I’ve been struggling with it as it was a horrible thing to see. And I hope they end up being okay even though it was a stolen motorcycle, possible DUI, driving with no lights in a rural area.
I am not 100% sure but I think they ran a stop sign coming out of a camp ground.

the truck is least of my concerns but the steering rack is totally blown and does not hold fluid, tie rod is destroyed. I was just on a test drive and did not have the 2 lowest bolts for the pelfreybilt bumper we’re not installed so it got pushed upwards. Broke both headlights and pushed the driver headlight into the fender causing a bend. Luckily the frame appears to have no bends but it’s gonna be a while before it’s back.

No dash cam, but definitely might get one now.

 

I drove and drove and drove her today. Basically I went hotwheel hunting. After the newness of the g3 wears off. Nothing like a 6 disc changer and zero traction control.

Had an awesome time at the R4T swap meet today. Copped some Striker hood struts, a sweet little eureka solo tent and a burger. And a sunburn.

Pro style grille, just did the ultimate headlight upgrade (halogen) to replace aftermarket leds. Damn it man I need to do something about that hood!

 

My hood and roof were really bad. Hood was much worse than yours and roof was dull white peeling clearcoat. I paid a pro shop $980 to strip and paint. Well worth the money as the rest of the truck still looked great. Zero regrets.

Hey man. Read your account. Sorry you went through that. I hope you can shake it. These folks, while I don’t wish them or anyone ill, clearly they were wreckless, f*cked around and found out, as it were. It’s not on you. I’m a motorcyclist. They had options.

Brake calipers, pads, and bled the system. Banjo bolts made it easy to swap the calipers, but hopefully the crush washers continue to hold fluid. The red adds 10 brake-horsepower I am told.

 

Installed a 6 switch holder in the center console. I had to do some slight modifications behind the panel.

 

My pop up camper uses a 7 pin, and the HF utility trailer i'm looking to get uses a 4 pin, so this makes perfect sense!

 

My hood looks the same. I'm tempted to try wrapping it myself.
