Hard to say, given resale of every generation stays somewhat high, might be ok. Ya know after all the complaining of the current engine choices, there are going to be a bunch of holdouts who will think it was the best, and refuse to go turbo.

I will hold until at least the 2025. I learned my lesson with the 2016 I got ( way too many issues) hopefully the turbo engine will hold fine. Good thing is that it has been in the NX and highlander for a little longer so we can see how the reliability is in those vehicles before taking the dive

It wouldn't surprise me if the 4R production is moved to Mexico if it ends up sharing the TGNA-F platform as expected.

Not ideal but probably better than San Antonio at the moment. Unless there is something to take its place, I'm gonna guess its staying in Japan for now.

I’d like to see the maintenance schedule before buying…

Kinda related, I also saw somewhere that the only Toyota that required premium gas is the Supra. The others with Turbo, like the highlander can run on regular unleaded.

I read that on the internet and not a Toyota site or manual… that means it’s gotta be true.

Most likely a stolen 3rd gen was chopped up. Body panels were then installed on a 2nd gen single cab (which may or may not have been stolen as well). Follow @tacomastijuana or @tacomas_tijuana on instagram for more like this, lol

Edit: Not meaning to imply that @ALI3N_123 is a thief. If that is his truck and he did that himself, props to him. Looks cool.

So does Ford with the Bronco, with longer wait times. I'm sure Toyota shareholders wouldn't mind if Toyota could sell as many 4Runners as Jeep sells Wranglers or Ford Broncos. Strike while the overland craze is strong.

Im thinking the entire drivetrain is going to have to be beefed up to handle 1/2 ton power that’s in the hybrid max. Since it doesn’t make sense to have two drivetrains the lower non hybrid trims are going to have overbuilt transmissions, axles, diffs and transfer cases.

Maybe they are happy with producing the amount they make per year already. I’ll surely take quality over quantity.
Also to those saying that the 4Runner and Tacoma will be made in the factory, Why? They are already similar vehicles and made in completely different factories. Why does that suddenly need to change? They will just update their tooling at each factory.
