I couldn't get mine to budge either.

    Went with the SabelCo.

Phoenix metro ... we have heard of the cold-ish form of water called snow, but ...

I may have to rectify the previous owner mistake ...

I'll try again at some point. Might pull my tailgate off and try to get some better leverage. I just didn't want to completely disassemble it to unplug the wiring just to get one screw out. Looking like that's my only option though. :/

I whacked it about 100x with an impact driver, but the problem is the tailgate isn't rigid mounted (good for the tailgate, bad for this specific screw removal) so the shock doesn't hit has hard as it should. If I'm pulling off the insert I might as well just unplug the 2 harnesses and remove the tailgate to get a good whack.

It's also hard to get any leverage in that spot due to where the screw is located. Popping the tailgate out on one side and trying to whack that screw to bust it loose while supporting it is a nightmare.

Could you pop the tailgate off and slide it into the bed on a blanket and not take off the wiring harness and smack the crap out of the screw in that direction instead? is that possible to do?

Oh maybe. I didn't think of that. The wiring is pretty tight though, not sure it would work.

Any ideas on how to remove the bolt head I snapped off when making an adjustment to the prinsu cross rails? Maybe put a googly eye there?

The OEM’s can’t be greased. I’d be worried more about the wear. These things were loose. You could move them about with no effort.

A small easy out and a drill bit after soaking with some penetrant fluid possibly. Or if there’s enough to take the bar out and grab with some vise clamp pliers.

Reverse drill bit? I've had pretty good luck using them.
