Yea it seems to get 17-18 mpg no matter how I drive it. I didn’t notice a difference going to the KM3s either. IIRC it’s difficult to supercharge the 95-97s cause of the ECUs? I could be totally wrong there tho.

Removing the glass makes the install way easier; it's important to get the lip to go over the metal for a proper seal





The tedious part is when you get inside the door as there's little room to press everything into place all while keeping that lip over the metal edge



Problem now is, the window feels secure in the channel but it won't go up still

I feel like something is either loose or broken between the window guide and the window motor because the motor comes on strong and turns as needed

 

This, definitely don't use a full blown grease it will be grime city in no time lol

 

I'll be taking out the motor assembly tomorrow; Theo's got an appointment coming up soon today.

Fuck what I said, ordered a new regulator assembly.

Why mess with old gears and grimy ass stuff when I can just replace the entire regulator.

 

My neighbors husky escaped... i've never had a picture to share before, but he is a very lopsided looking dog. I'm sure he'll be back this evening, he does this a lot.

Lol didn't even consider that, they sit on the table because there's no other place to put them. I really only use that table because there's a phone holder, and my drill press.

I won't use them, I have so many ratchets I've given several away even. Hell think two different members received some from me as freebies in boxes I've sent out.

 

Appointment time

 

I did regulators on an 86 Corolla, 88 Honda CRX, a ~93 Toyota pickup, and dealt with slow windows in my 99 all in a 6 month span for some reason in 2021.

I recommended new regulators in 3 of those cases. Just easier than band-aid fixing a tired worn out regulator where the wheels/rollers inside the tracks are destroyed. I'm sure you could drill spot welds and repair those wheels to make everything slide smoothly again. But a $90-$150 OEM regulator solve the problem instantly. My issue with the owners of those cars is they all wanted to install a cheap regulator from Dorman or something. Thankfully the Dorman wouldn't even fit in that 86 Corolla so he caved and bought a Toyota part.

The sad reality is the OEM parts won't be in production forever. At least in that Corolla's case. I want to say it was just old stock and they aren't produced anymore.
