The red dot that fits the g19 is the 507c/407c. If you plan to put the 507k on the g19 with the option to put it on a 43x later that is fine but then after you switch it over, what's the optic plan for you 19 that is milled for the 507k. The slide will have that footprint milled into it which is different from the 507c/rmr foot print. If the plan is to then get another 507k for the g19 eventually then why not just mill it for the rmr/507c that fits better and then buy a 507k for the 43x whenever/if ever you get one since 2 optics were in the plan anyways. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to mill an slide for an optic you plan to move to another gun later and then have your g19 limited to only the 507k foot print optics.

Doesn't Holosun now make a sight that directly to the Glock slide, no adapter plate needed?

I thought I saw one at the NRA show, but don't remember the part number.

Thats the reason why i want the smaller footprint. Lesser chance for the optic to snag on something. Also im not going into this with the intention to swap them out it would just be nice to have that option if i chose to do so. They make adapter plates anyways that i could use so its not that big a deal tbh. I understand that the 507c is meant for the glock19. I just like the idea of running a smaller optic on it. I like the way it fits on the gun in the video i linked.

The stock front sight is too tall to cowitness?

I think if snagging is a concern, it will snag more so on the hood of the optic and not the over hang on the sides.
That being said the 507c vs the 507k is much more rounded but yes it does sit higher than the k models.

i don't think the front sight will be tall enough to co-witness with the dot. I have suppressor height sights on one g19 with a 507c driect milled on top the slide so no plates and it will cowitness. My other g19 has the standard sights with a rmr direct milled. In a pinch you could probably use the sights alone through the window if you really had to and had time as they barely stick up above the rmr base but they definitely aren't ideal.

My 43x mos has a swampfox red dot directly mounted as no plate there either. Same story with the stock height sights.

I know the 407k has the rear sight built into it so I'd assume based on that design it sits flatter and was meant to align with a stock front post? I won't think being too tall would be an issue.

@montijo505 should be able to answer that b/c his 43x had a 507k directly mounted i think.

The 507K will direct mount to 43x/48 MOS but on the slide you have to file off the two rear recoil lugs, or use an adapter plate. I had the Ameriglo sights from factory and those lower 1/3 cowitness with the 43x and 507k with or without the plate.

So are you going to put the 407k on the 43x or 19?

After shooting my 43x and 19 side by side yesterday. I was amazed at how much better my aiming got with the 19 after shooting with the 43x. The 19 has little recoil compared to the 43x lol. That being said the red dot on the 43x makes things a whole of a lot easier lol

That looks like a Glock 45 in flat dark earth. The regular 19x has a lip at the bottom of the grip. That photo doesn't appear to show it. Lipsys or Glock themselves sometimes do limited runs of these colored guns.
