Thread revival. Slipped a wrench working on a truck today. Despite my thumb having a really good muppet impression, decided to get it stitched back together.

That’s pretty deep… I would think it’ll heal up fine though. The body is pretty amazing. I’m sure some choice words were used when that happened though. Sorry you had to experience that Sergio, not fun.
    Heal up!

Thanks @GHOST SHIP for the thread Rec.

did this a few years back trimming some plastic. Hand slipped that was bracing. Had to coach a playoff game in 90 min. Docs got me in and out to make it in time for the first face off. So clutch.

I was very very very lucky. Was a little worried about being able to stop the bleeding. Go in the kitchen and my daughter sees me applying pressure and holding my arm in the air. She comes back with a box of bandaids…

Dude at work not paying attention and put a finger under the hold down bar on the shear. Would have just crushed it but he panicked and pulled his hand back leaving the tip

I thought it should have been left as "NSFW GORE" is in the title. It didn't bother me, I was eating when I saw it and it made me chuckle. But, I am a bit odd and it wasn't my first time seeing the effects of someone making that decision. People want to see gore, but become soft when they see gore.

Yeah it doesn't bother me the fact that a mod deleted it, he or she just received a notification that someone reported it.

What bothers me is that it was reported in general, considering the nature of this thread. Of course whoever did won't come out about it so all I can say is if you can't handle it, stay out of this thread.

You'll have it deleted because someone will come in here and report it

As long as it's a finger or toe, should be enough for them. Apparently they can't come out and say anything cause they're scared.

Ok everyone, here it is. Probably the most "appropriate" one I could find. I have a few friends who do ultramarathons and I've crewed for some of them only a handful of times. Anyway she kinda just started the course (i think she was at mile 8 ish) and felt some slipping in her shoe, realized it was due to her socks but she wasnt going to see us for another 15 miles at the first aid station. She said she didnt feel particularly uncomfortable and kept going but she knew it was going to be SOMETHING when she would finally take her shoes and socks off

Anyway here she comes through the checkpoint, we're at the crew tent and shes like call medical just in case as she approaches us. I grab our own kit and she very slowly takes her socks and shoes off and this is what her right ankle had blisters gone bad!! Put on some wool, switched out socks and shoes, put a thinner bandage on it and that was that!! She managed to finish her 100 miler many hours later. This is the only pic I managed to grab at the 3rd aid station where we saw her. By that point she had already done 70 miles, gone through 3 or 4 water crossings and climbed 15k feet of vertical. A bad ass with some blisters gone bad!!
