All my PB buys and sells were all local, so at least I didn't have to deal with that. However, @honda50r bought a few of my bikes and bikeflights made the shipping aspect simple as.

Anyone interested in buying Saint Brakes, the rear hose would be cut.
Pads seem good, I have one good front rotor, and the pads are decent.

Thank you all for the input. Gives me some ideas - for her, an economical route is the best option, so I’ll look into the PNW 2x dropper as well as dropping the FD. I asked her today if she ever uses the big chain ring and she said no. So could be two possible options for her to just go with a dropper and let her go at it with the Rockhopper so she can decide if this is truly something she enjoys. She lives in Durango, so lots of stuff to enjoy for her on this bike (I extended my stay after graduation to hang out with her and ride some - she’s not bad in the short time she’s been riding out here!).

And thanks for the mention on the Park Tools blue book. I have a few Zinn books, but I always seem to make things worse on bikes when I start tinkering (although I did take apart the pulley wheels on my older road bike last wee - almost had a disaster when the wheel went flying and came apart because I left the wheel on so there was chain tension…) yes, I could have bought another one…but I guess I just need to keep at it and build my confidence up on the bikes.

And a photo from the area - riding Twin Buttes yesterday afternoon while my daughter was coaching her youth soccer team.

I'm not selling mine this cheap, but if real jump on it.
    https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3622847/

Here's my recent post about my fork

I'd say $600 shipped if he covers the PP fees.
I think the cheapest grip2, 44mm offset, factory 36 I saw on PB was $650.

There are others on there cheaper, but they're either 51mm offset or Fit4 dampener.

Don’t sleep on the Fit4 damper, I’ve got a 36 with Grip 2 and two SC 34s, one grip and one with fit4, fit4 is just fine IMO.

@Pugga that $400 listing reeks of scammer to me. Way too good to be true. They’re popping up all over PB. Every category.

Recent member join date. Minimal if any seller history. Pass unless you just really wanna.

The real seller litmus test is to ask if you can purchase in person. You know you can’t, but the seller likely doesn’t. If they’re a scammer, they’ll either have an excuse to not sell face to face or they won’t respond.

I would agree. It’s not perfect but the first thing I do is see what their seller history is. If there isn’t anything it’s a red flag.

I agree, new member and stupid cheap price for that fork.
I did find a 2017 Fox 36 Kashima with a smash pot that’s interesting…. Really curious about the coil, but not ready to toss my current fork yet either.

Anybody have the new smuggler yet? I'm planning on going up to Bham sometime soon and demoing one. Coming from a 2021 Scout

So far I know two people that went to a transition demo set on the new smuggler but ended up buying a spur. One of them I’m sure will chime in here.

    You’re gonna like it.

I didn’t get a notification from Fanatik that I won the recent dream build raffle, so I still don’t own a Smuggler myself. But I did get a demo on one recently…

Weird, I'd dig the spur, but for what I do, I need more travel. If I feel like the smuggler is too small of a bike (travel wise) for me, the choice is obvious. However, with Transition doing the "PNW" mullet builds, maybe I'll wait for them to do a Mullet Scout
    Same, its a tragedy

I think they do. Might occur after the winner has confirmed and configured the bike/build of choice.

Yes they’re 4 piston saint brakes. They’re on a large frame. I have a brand new set of a4 is why I’m selling. I’ll do $325 shipped. Cheapest I saw on PB was $340 shipped.

So some of you saw my story, but the brakes I’m selling are on the Intense I picked up passing through Chattanooga. I’ll have to get back up to a park soon and actually get the suspension set up. I rode and raced it exactly as purchased. Just checked sag, and put a TRP rotor after hitting the Shimano rear rotor on a rock.

It the M29 elite, build spec here!

Update to the steerer replacement story. I had several conversations with the tech that does the steerer replacements. Turns out, he's only done 5 of them. Fox and Rockshox are both adamantly against this type of repair. The tech who performs the repair eventually admitted this is a more common repair in parts of the world where parts supply are an issue and repairs like this are made out of necessity, which makes all the sense in the world. I'm going to buy a used Lyrik Select and swap dampers / air springs so I'll effectively have a new fork.
