Looking to install new fogs and my question is are the Pro's to bright and should I just get the Sports? Does anyone have these and what do think?

I don't want to blind people on the highway with them.

    Thanks! :)

The Pros are significantly more powerful than the Sports, but have a somewhat less well-defined beam pattern. The bleed above the horizontal cutoff can sometimes bother oncoming drivers - even when properly aimed. And if your truck is lifted, it's virtually guaranteed. The Sports (or even the Elites) on the other had have a very well-defined beam pattern. Generally speaking, they will only bother oncoming drivers if they're aimed improperly. Most folks find the Sports or Elites a significant upgrade over stock and more than adequate from a light output standpoint.

I should add that many folks are perfectly happy with the Pros because the upward bleed also illuminates things further down the road. I had the Pros and didn't like getting flashed so often, so I upgraded to the Max.

I've had the SS3 Ambers for about 2 years and they have been one of the best mods I've made. When properly adjusted they pick up the fog line (and I do a lot of fog driving) just perfectly. To be honest, the SS3's could be driven at night although not recommended without the use of headlights as they are that good (just saying). I do turn my headlights off and use the fogs when out hog hunting in the woods at night. They are perfect for that scenario too.

I had the Sports and went with the Pro for the output. As it was mentioned, there is more bleed so to say, but they do have a nice output, and less expensive than the Max. Either way, Diode Dynamics makes amazing products. Just another thought, you could try the sports and swap to higher tiers or even try various lens tbat fit your particular situations.

Oh, on TRD Pro, I swapped the Sports that I had for Pros. When side by side, the difference for me and output warranted the Pros. Now I have (4 SSC2 Pros) for front fogs that turn on with DRLs, and SS3 with a SSC1 piggiebacked on the SS3 for ditch lights. Like it was mentioned before, being the quality light output of these, you could run without headlights and have a good field of vision, did it. .

i have the white elite on a lexus rx350, nice wide beam with razor sharp blue cut off line
i feel like the ss3 are made for offroad, while the elite are more for city driving
honestly would pick the elite over the ss3 if they made them for my 2007 taco
the ss3 pros are brighter than any headlights, its pretty amazing lol

Easy and easy. I did order the amber back light as you can see in the pic. I installed the lights from above not through the fender if you have long arms and smallish hands.

    Just getting started.
Good call. I got the Pros and absolutely love them, but they will cause other drivers to flash me when I'm driving with them on busy roads. However, on the rural routes around here they're amazing.
