Wow. Are those the new handles that open from the inside? What is the decking you have in the bed? She looks good!

 

I really like those new clamps compared to the older style I have.

Just got the OTT tune and glad I did! She has zip, pep, drastically improved throttle response and when I drop the hammer on the hwy from 5th to 4th, she goes!!
The acceleration is much much nicer!

 

Still the old handles. I have a Truck Vault in my bed with their outdoor coating.

 

Front winch installed. Now I’m looking for a day off!

I need to wire in the quick disconnects and work on the rear power source.

 

My KTJO tail gate lock got stuck on a camping trip. Luckily, I have a softopper and could fold back the top to get stuff out.

Anyone else have that problem? I think the solenoid has just gone bad.

 

Finally making the switch. Passenger side installed. I will be selling my old headlights setup if anyone interested.

I've had mine for over 4 years with no issue. Note, I do get the truck rust protected every year so this may have something to do with keeping the solenoid in good shape.

 

Oh, that's good to hear. Nothing looked rusted when I opened the tailgate.. slightly dusty tho. (We usually don't have to worry about rust here in Oregon -- as far as I know). I just ordered another actuator and we'll see how that holds up.

Did the Subaru kicker tweeter swap today. Didn't get much of a chance to listen to it, but the little bit I did I'm not sure it was worth it..

Edit: I think it took a couple days but they broke in on something and now they sound much better.

 

Oh man I felt like audio was a lot more crisp. I think if you listen to podcasts you’ll really see the difference but on music I felt like lyrics were a lot more clear. It won’t boost mids and bass like the front doors might though

 

i would figure out what size/threads are used, and definitely run a thread chaser/tap through that before re-installing. most local auto parts stores will rent out thread chaser kits.

 

They don’t seem cheap at all. You need to get up close to notice they’re not real. It’s the best ‘mod’ I’ve done so far, and a great placeholder until I get new wheels/tires.

Which setting did you go with? I have mine at medium/spicy, but am thinking of dropping it down to mild/medium for a little more control when taking off in crowded parking lots and things like that.

 

I installed the Meso Puddle lights in my mirrors, I really like. I've done a lot of car wiring and getting those connectors through those rubber tunnels leading to the doors was no joke. I found the secret weapon though. Toyota should have included this on the truck from the factory. I like'em.
