Well i done did fucked up first thing... shoulda left work earlier, didnt account for the time zone change, then i thought the doors opened at 7.... nope, show started at 7
So i missed FLA and most of Numan's set. But what i did see was fantastic and sounded great... i would put him up there with the best i've seen.
But the whole point was to finally see Uncle Al.

    20230509_221814.jpg

So Ministry comes out.... they play 5 new song off Moral Hygiene and Amerikkkant.
Then a new song off the upcoming album...

    https://youtu.be/r9FqdlDEe5o

THEN they started playing the classics. Started with NWO and Just One Fix. And if i am being honest, didn't sound great. Maybe it was my position or the venue IDK.
Then they played The Missing, Deity, Burning Inside and Stigmata which all sounded amazing.
Encore was a cover of this...

    https://youtu.be/Ut99KQbkIOg

Which will also be on the new album.

Kind of surreal to finally see someone who's music i've been listening to for over half my life.

Oh, man. What a bummer! But it sounds like Uncle Al gave you a show.

I’ve missed a few bands in my time.

back in 2000(?). Me & a buddy drove to Atlanta to see NIN.
Tickets said show @7pm(or something like that).
We show up around 7:40 or so(traffic was a nightmare(Atlanta). get to our seats and not long after the lights go out. So we think; “perfect. Just in time”

    then NIN starts playing “Pinion.”
    We’re like, “no opener?”
Mind you, this was years before everyone had smartphones, I gave my buddy cash for the tix, so I had no idea who else would be there. Later on, in between songs, a guy next to us says: “man you guys missed this weird band before NIN. They had Maynard from TOOL singing for them. They were called “something about a perfect circle.”
WTF?! I still haven’t seen them!

Skip ahead 3 or 4 years; my wife(dating at the time) she’s a huge Billy Idol fan.
He comes to town. We buy tickets and get there late, we figure we missed the openers.
Nah. Billy took the stage sharp! And we missed maybe half of his set. We walked in during “Eyes Without a Face.”

I’m glad you got to see Ministry though.

I listen to FirstWave on SiriusXM and enjoy Richard Blade as a DJ and other hosts too!

Richard Blade was a DJ in LA during the 80s on KROQ, Rock of the 80s!

So Richard Blade had ABC's lead singer (Martin Fry) on his show recently and this song is a staple at their concerts.

I have their Greatest Hits CD which I bought at Harrod's in London back in 1989...still have it!

Anyhow, ABC has many songs but I do enjoy this one.

It's raining all day, grey and chilly. Listening to some sludge to start the day.

Probably won't be as good as Rated R, though. :(

I heard this in a mix on Saturday Safety Dance with DJ Bueller tonite. The band: Go West

Song came out in 1985...the year I graduated HS. I came to know it after getting assigned to my first duty station in PHX, AZ in July 1986.

Here's another one of their hits.
