still hasn’t been decided. Yet!! I will let you know at 250k if I ever get there the amount I drive it.

 

With the Chevs it always a question if the transmission will fail first or just fall out on the pavement in a cloud of rust...

 

Looks like the 3ed Gen with a shot of steroids. Have to see it in person.

 

Don't forget about lifters collapsing on the 5.3...

 

Back in the 3 speed automatic days GM had more transmission problems than they should have due to misapplication.

TH 350s came in full size trucks, the premium TH 400 was an extra cost option.

Dodge (despite all their shortcomings ) put the big 727 automatic in all the trucks, even if it only had a Slant 6 engine.

 

Jeep used the TH 400 until 1979 even in a six cylinder CJ-7.

 

I thought 4R too. I’m guessing they moved the fog lights into the chin area, not sure I care for that. Complicates the aftermarket slimline winch inserts.

I’m with Rusty, need to see more, clearer pics or in person.

Of course I’ll just keep my 3rd Gen because it’s paid for.

 

My wife has tentatively talked me into trading in my '19 for a '24 Hybrid, pending MPG, trade in and new price numbers.

 

Probably $50k.

Although you can still get a manual...

 

First year for a new model .

I think I’ll let it season for a few MYs then assess against my 11-12 year old ‘15.

 

But you can no longer get a CD player

 

My 2022 doesn't have a CD player, nor did my 2021.

 

I have historically been like that, too, but I'll tempt fate this time, provided all the numbers are good.
