R4T just installed my SC but I’m not hearing it whine. I’ve only got to 4,000-4,500 rpm but didn’t hear much. Less than a 1,000 miles on it so still trying to take it easy - they said 1,000 mile break in.
any thoughts as to why it’s so quiet? I thought I would hear something but I don’t really hear anything at all.

Are you getting the expected power? There’s a chance that you have a vacuum leak if not.

How does it perform? No whine necessary. This little engine is so noisy, you’d probably have a hard time hearing a small to mild setup.

I haven't been behind a 3rd gen but if your gradually going up, you may not hear much. 1000 miles or not you can stomp on it here and there without any worry or at least rev it in your driveway. It would be interesting if it has nothing since it has to spring that pulley. Unless they forgot the belt (that would be hilarious) but not really.

Did you pay for power increase or to hear the sound of a supercharger?

I've heard the Magnusson Supercharger is pretty quiet. I believe the ProCharger has more sound to it. How's the performance?

The typical gear wine we tend to think about with a supercharger is mainly gear noise. The Magnusson it’s designed to be rather stealthy

Does it retain the stock intake? In my experience putting a more open “cold air intake” greatly increases supercharger whine. It was so loud on my FR-S I put the stock box back on.

My Magnuson supercharger is very quiet, from what I've read it's designed that way. Really can only hear it when revving it out in 1st gear, and just a little accelerating in 2nd gear. Even though it's quiet it's defiantly working :D.

The Maggy is pretty quiet until you load it up. It will whine subtly when boosting.

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
The Magnuson SC is very quiet with the stock airbox. I can bearly hear it and that is only after maybe about 4500RPM, below that RPM I can't hear it at all. You should have a very noticeable increase in power though. If you don't then that is a problem.

TVS blower Magnusons are crazy quiet compared to their previous gen Roots counterparts. As long as you are making the power, it's normal. If you don't like how quiet it is throw some sort of cone style filter intake on it and get rid of the stock intake hardware.

One of my former coworkers put a knock off one on his "GTO."
Told him it reminded me of one of the other techs whining about not getting
any good work all the time.

Yes, the power is great. I have been quite conservative with it so still seeing what it can put out. I don't think there is a leak. They also checked it a few days after me driving it for a final inspection and everything passed and this was just a week or two ago.

It performs great. Still testing it out. Definitely very quiet! Which is fine. I just was excited to hear more noises, that's all.

I have been mostly gradual with the accelerator and did get on it the other day to see if I could get any noise to happen but didn't really. Up to 4,500rpms.

    I paid for the noise.

The performance is great. My truck pulls up the mountains here now and has a lot more power on tap if needed. I live at 7k' and drive up to 9k' all the time. The thin CO air obliterated my engine and now its great with all the added weight I have.

The intake is the stock box, but it's connected to my snorkel. So I wouldn't change the performance of my snorkel for added noise.
