The humidity and the scenery

 

What scenery, the only things you can see from the highest point in Indiana which is a highway overpass is every other state that's better that surrounds it

 

I looked up the humidity and I was like holy shit 75%...wait until it's really summer there and you'll be sweating while in the shower

im in the process of helping a kid do a BAR swap on his mr2.. just reading the bullshit they have in their rules? yea no. more and more interactions with the west further cements my opinion the furthest west i'd ever go is montana

 

If you like Indiana stay in Indiana, someone has to live there and anyone that's lived in "the West™" knows better than to live in that moist tennis court of a state. Better just stay and don't muddy up the good things we have going on out here We don't have emissions or inspections so I can't comment on your bar swap, but it would be a whole lot better with a K series im sure.

 

i respect the K. and the LS. but you will never see me do one of those swaps.. theres other fantastic engines out there waiting for people to untap their potential.

 

Well there sure are a lot of nearly free 2grs so unless this idea really catches on you might as well strap a turbo to a few and make some real numbers, find the limits. Convince people it's worth investing in a new platform that's largely unsupported yet. Won't do that NA though, gotta beat the next cheapest competitor for power first.

 

as of right now there are 3 700hp 2grs running around. reliably. the e153 transmissions are not holding up

starting n/a translates well to boost with them soo far. so n/a is still my plans for the GR. my AR build will be boosted.

 

700 ain't too bad for how cheap they are. Trans is a problem though, but the MR2 is an oddball needing a FWD trans anyway so it might not matter for most folks if there's a decent longitudinal trans for it.

 

the fact a 2ar is doing 273 wheel with just a custom intake and cams + springs is just the start!


GR is up to 405.. different cam grinds are in the works. and 14:1 compression pistons are coming soon. e85 on the 12.5:1 had 0 knock. so onto the next step


10:1 are also being made now... we'll dabble with a boosted GR soon

 

the GR will bolt up to anything the JZ will as well. there is 1 2gr 1st gen tacoma already @Bandido fair bit of clearancing on the block though

the e153 is one of the strongest FWD transmissions out there... its just not liking the GR torque with boost

 

Can you get a 2gr with the D4S system on it? Can really get aggressive with compression and boost if you have GDI

 

the 2gr-fks has D4S. and the 2gr-FSE.


but for big boost 10:1 is kind of the plan. as of right now the dabbling in the DI engines has proven to show little to no gains (not saying there not there. its just the injection timing with port and direct is.... a headache.. but haltechs getting better.. i think motecs can do it properly though)

 

That's like saying you have a gold medal in the special Olympics. But uh Honda guys would like a word there, it took them nearly 30 years to get the crazy trans support. I wouldn't go barking up that tree too hard for the Yotas since FWD shit in motorsport takes a backseat most of the time.
