2021 Tacoma sport, stalls at idle after 40 mins……TW Help pls

Sitting in parking lot at idle, AC on…..after about 40/45 mins truck shuts off……has happened twice…..over a month.

The good:
new spark plugs, recent fuel injector service (BG), cleaned MAF + throttle body,
New air filter
NO check engine light
Idles ok……not noticeably rough

 

It does not stall, it turns itself off. I guess it figures out it does not need to run if it's sitting still.

Not a great feature if you’re stuck in the snow in the Winter,trying to stay warm in the car with the engine running,, OR in my case in TX…….pulled over in a rest area, on a long drive trying to take a nap ……..gotta have truck running to have AC.

 

Better pray you never get an exhaust leak in that scenario

 

Consider carbon monoxide poisoning too... or you may get an extended rest.

 

The way I understand the manual, it says that if you lock the doors then the feature is temporarily disabled. Or if you press the brake then the timer will start over.
