Oregon and Washington Truck Spotting

Spotted this old dude on my route today.

 

That is a great looking truck.

 

Spotted these brochachos in the Mercer Mess.

 

I’d drive that!!

 

I need to find pics of my friends when we drove it to a cars and coffee after putting some exhaust on. at least then there was a reason we didn't get the back all buttoned up.

Smart guy. Not making the truck haul all the overlanding weight. And doesn't have to store the trailer when he's not using it!! 55mph speed limit on those trailers is not a problem when you're doing 3mph offroad

 

Looks like the USA-1 monster truck, except USA-1 was a Chevy.

 

Hell, we don't even say hi to our neighbors. Actually I'm pretty sure the true/long time resident pn'westerners legitimately go out of their way to avoid conversation or at least keep it to a minimum. Anyone that will engage their neighbor or fellow local is more than likely not native or has only been living in the region a short period of time.

The good news is, it doesn't take long for the "Seattle Freeze" to take hold of newcomers.

This was my first model car as a kid. Was one of those snap together ones. Think it's still in my dad's model car cabinet.

 

Found another gem on my route.

 

Can we talk about that bumper for a second?? I'm not sure I'd trust that tow hitch with much, at already looks like it's flexing out of place

 

I'm guessing it has a body lift and the bumper/hitch weren't accounted for (still at frame height). Should be perfectly safe to tow with... just looks stupid.

 

Notice the little square things near where the bumper mounts to the frame that keep the bumper from bumping the bed?

I think the bumper just mounts in a lower position on the older Pick Ups.
