Well at least both you guys are still in the running. Hate to say it but my hunting is complete for this year. Guess now I need to wait until March when the longbeards are in strut.

    You bet on the longbeards.
Have a few bridges to cross before that if you know what I mean.

there are alot of places here that are legal to bait....wish they'd make it legal in my county......everyone does it anyway.

you may need to try a grunt call or can call and see if you get any deer to show up. you start hitting the grunts and can..............you are bound to get a buck or doe interested enough to come and try to find the source of said grunt.

thats true, but the only thing im afraid of, is that in NJ you might as well hunt on the next guys lap. If i start grunting and ratteling, gaurenteed there will be someone comming to look, also.

damn..............ya'll are that close to others??? i dont think i could deal with that. where i hunt,usually........there isnt anyone else hunting for 300 or 400 yards.

here is an idea................pick a nasty weather day.....like rain or sleet, to go to the woods. it may deter others from heading out....and you may be in for a surprise........................cause deer will move in shitty weather.

Not much yet, got a pretty good sound system w/ my custom sub box. Plan on adding more lights & a tool box.
I never did figure out that tree stand hunting. If you don't see any deer, I move. Of course in NV the next hunter is 1-20 MILES away. Keep the faith Jersey, they'll come. Can you bait with anything or just corn? Try apples?

Man that would stink, having hunters all over you when hunting. Here it is a BIG no-no to bait.

I did a test one time (was not hunting) and used Ca-mere deer (spelling). For a few days I drop the hard stuff on the ground by med sized stump. They seemed to hit it in the evening. With just does during the early morning. Then I used the liquid, and placed it on limbs up a little higher and away from the first spot. When they went to the limbs, I added a little powder on the ground.
Next thing all's I did was spray my boots and spray my back-pac, sort of like a cover scent. With the time that went by, around a week. I was seeing deer (bucks and does) in the area (45 yards and closer) until around 11:45 am, later on cool days.

I did this just to see what was going on with them, I had pretty much had the deer in the area patterned, travel routes, escape routes, bedding and such. You can train a deer even in the wild, hoosiertaco can vouch for that.

Hopefully things will work out and you nail one, may take awhile but sooner or later, they will show.

be easy with the grunts man................if you grunt with them too often.....you'll likely scare deer off, especially a wary old buck. use them in sequence, and spread the time use out! good luck....................hope you bag a big un'!!
