Closest way to feel like a cable throttle

What can I do for my truck to feel like its cable driven instead of by a computer? If it's the pedal commander, what's the best settings to feel most cable driven as possible?

I have a HP Tuners tune on mine by @JustDSM .
Throttle map can be tuned as aggressive or lazy as you like.

 

Buy a pre 2000 truck. Better made trucks without all the plastic junk.

 

I have the Sprint Booster, set to one of the lower "sport" modes and it feels a lot closer to having a throttle cable. The race modes are too jumpy in my opinion. Whenever I set it back to stock the truck feels like a turd hah.

 

said it before and said it again... sprint booster / power commander only make the ECU think you are pushing the pedal more or less than you already are. It does not change the actual throttle curve table in the coding of the ECU.

The only way to make a more linear "throttle cable" feel is via a tune.

 

I guess "feel" is subjective, but it certainly "feels" like the pedal is significantly less laggy and more like the TB is being driven by a traditional throttle cable when I have mine on versus off.

 

Because who doesn't love blown head gaskets (3.0L) and broken timing belts (3.4L). I'm positive the 1995+ has just as much plastic as the 2000+ years.

 

Absolutely correct, the PC makes a big difference in driving feel and although I could/would never debate the tech aspects of a tune versus a PC the PC definitely isn't identical to mashing the gas pedal to the floor, no where close to it.
