I keep trying to find different trucks i would like to get, and for one reason or another, i get led back to the Tacoma (mpg anyone?). Ive looked on craigslist a few times, and the few times there were Tacomas on there (looking for the newer looking ones, so like 01, 02) they were like 13 or 14 thousand. thats way too much. we wouldn't be able to pay much more than 11 thousand. is it very likely i could find an 01, 02 for 10, or 11 thousand?

btw im looking for an extended cab, v6, 4wd, automatic, auto doors/windows are meh, but i really cant get something with a lot of miles. is it that likely of me finding a Tacoma like this?

EDIT: i got these price ranges and years from kelly blue book, so im not just coming up with a random price

    looked this up on kbb:
    http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/toyota...89306|true&condition=excellent&mileage=110000
sorry, dont know how to make long link into a single word.
does that look like a reasonable price to be able to find?

I paid less for my 2009 then the were selling 2008 and 2007's on the lot at the same dealer. Weird. Only reason I bought new.

Anything around here will sell for $3-4K over KBB.

There was a guy selling an 02 xtra cab 4x4 w/ a fabtech 6" for $500 over KBB private party and it sold the day he posted it on CL.

I payed $400 over KBB and felt good about that, I personally think its ridiculous how much people charge, but people will pay it so...

Be patient. It took me nearly a year to find mine. Despite working with several dealers and hitting multiple auto auctions, Craigslist is where the "right" one finally appeared.

well, for starters you need to be more specific about how many miles is your max... that is the key to your request. the more miles, the cheaper it will be... they go for what they go for, regardless of kbb...

really, i don't think i could feel good getting a truck with more than 120,000 miles. i know trucks can go alot more than that with good care, the only thing is, alot of people don't take care of their trucks.
