..... well, I just got my income tax refund direct deposit a couple days ago?
It's Thursday, not Monday.....
I managed to get out of bed this morning....

 

I'm used to owing most years. Part of that refund was "confiscated" by the IRS to settle a major tax debt I still owed from 2019, and had been on a payment plan because I didn't have the $$ to pay it outright

It’s a got Damned trap they get you in. They can take the correct amount out of your pay but they dont, leaving you with a huge bill at tax time. Then they take payments on that, with interest and penalties. Lots of people get caught in that vicious cycle and stay in it. We were sent a nice letter saying that we have to estimate our taxes and pay the extra amount quarterly or face a penalty. We both direct deposit the extra needed into a savings account and pay it on April 15th. I can specify that they take more out of my pay but I’m not doing their job for them. Uncle Samuel can kiss my fat ass.

 

What "bold new flavors" can we sample today?

I'm all for a flat tax rate (or none at all ) and completely doing away with filing taxes.

 

I'm off today so there will be no sampling.
There's no telling what goodies we'll be creating tomorrow.
